I'm a fall and winter person and love the layering you can do that at that time of year. Before I really got into understanding fashion and paying attention to it, I shudder at the thought of me wearing jeans that were too long and too wide in the legs. That's how most of my jeans fit back in the day and I never gave it a second thought. Ugh.

Great video John!!! Some good ways to style jeans for sure. My go to jeans are Levi's 514s or 511 slim fit. Dark blue or black. I also find that too much of a taper doesn't look good on an older man. 👍

Legend! I'd say fall but these first days of it are hot as hell in SoCal. So let's say late fall when it cools down around here. I have a fabulous Varvatos trench coat in drab olive green that I love to wear once it's cooler. I like the fitting of your jeans. About distressed jeans, 10 years ago I didn't like them, it was too much in my opinion. Now I am older and I have all kinds of jeans, including ripped jeans .(not with many holes nonetheless). After all nothing is forbidden for clothing at any age.

Watched this morning and was absolutely bagged from a big work stint, inspired me to sport some new denim I purchased recently and really do it your style... I wore them with a white v-nech t, window pane light blue sports coat and mid brown wingtip brogues and got several compliments throughout the day even though I felt drained it sharpened me up. Can I commit the unthinkable and say that my favorite season is summer? 😅 Yeah, I like wool trousers and vests and boots as much as the next guy, but if I could only have one season all year I’d happily stick to the shorts and no shirt at the beach look 😆 P. S. And if you’re into your evening social events, summer allows for more sartotial variety than people give it credit for. You just need to use light fabrics, but combinations are really at home on a summer evening, as are some bolder patterned shirts and linen or shantung ties.

I buy my jeans a size longer because I like to either cuff them if I have my boots on, or I stack them if I have cowboy boots on. I also don't have a problem with guys my age wearing ripped jeans. My problem is wearing ripped jeans that you buy that way. To me, ripped jeans should be from wear and tear. They shouldn't come like that from the store.

Jeans fit for over 40 definitely not tight, i am almost 50 with 32 inches waist with lean muscle that can easily go with slim fit but i go with straight and regular fit to show my mature age.... And no ripped or orher things... Must be clean jeans whatever colors jeans

The most important thing about clothes is the fit. Yet you don't talk about it. What kind of fit should I go if I have short legs? Low rise, High rise, tapered, slim, regular? Why? show me some examples. What if I have long legs? Fat legs? skinny legs? etc. Much more important than anything else.
