Cal losing to the fifth brother makes zero sense tbh, he’s proven himself to be way above him and almost every inquisitor at this point

Fifth Brother on his off-days, sure. You have to remember a Fifth Brother with a right head space staggers Kanan and Ahsoka in a 1 vs 2 (Season 2 Rebels Finale) and then straight up has Ahsoka on the defense the entire 1 vs 1 until Maul helped her.

i personally didnt really enjoy the book. just felt pointless to me, nothing really important happened apart from Greez and from cere's future plans. The mcguffin was said to be impossible in the end and the mantis crew ended up exactly where they began more or less. there was also no stakes really, we know the villain lives, we know the heroes live. coulda been a lot better

Well, because of this video, I bought the book. It should help occupy some of my time until my vacation starts on April 28th! Yes, I took vacation to play this game. Last time I took time off work solely to play a game was the release of The Force Unleashed 2!

This book is really pointless I thought it would give more backstory behind the flashbacks in Survivor and how the group split up but I guess not

Merrin and Fret's attraction made no sense when you try to reconcile it with what we know of merrin's character. The whole thing felt so contrived and too fast paced. It kind of ruined Merrin's chracter developement. But anyway that's what ive come to expect from a writer like Sam Maggs who, lets be honest, isnt much of a writer to begin with....

He beat the second sister and Ninth sister. The former being more skilled and Cal was handicapped when he fought the 9th who is stronger physically. 5th brother isn't a particularly competent fighter how does Cal lose against him of all characters?

Good question. Cal's portrayal as dim and incompetent is one of the biggest problems with this book. I can only hope that it's not an indication of how he will be in Survivor

@@ekaf1735 The high republic jedi will be reoccurring enemies so we'll see how it goes and how powerful there could be repeated encounters and the high republic jedi could grow in power. Ravis is a given since he's a gen'dai Cal losing could've been handled better have him deal with multiple purge troopers before 5th brother shows up in the first encounter maybe have the 5th brother intimidate Cal by chopping through his own soldiers like a lawnmower (showing him a ruthlessness he's never seen) anything to get him off his game or have another inquisitor tire him out before he comes in. Whats this about a lightsaber resistance helmet that left Cal dumbfounded after striking him on the head a killing blow? It's like freezing after hitting the 9th sister's visor in the game. Sam Maggs failed to properly represent Cal depicting him as a bumbling idiot and Merrin some love sick puppy who can't think straight. Sam Maggs just picked him because he looks "scary" and he survives until Rebels. Did Cal even display new force abilities because it mostly sounds like he didn't

Fr, cal is one of the strongest and most skilled Jedi of this era, he isn’t that much weaker in physical strength too the ninth sister and is even more skilled than the second. He would destroy the fifth brother easily

What you need to know, ignore it.. cal is a cuck in it, and fret is a horrible self insert character. Merrin is a terrible version of herself, and i PRAY the actaul writers for the game do the same and do nothing in regard to this book
