Unbelievable respect to Vin for doing something like this. It takes a HUGE amount of balls to put out something that contrasts alot of what your listeners see as your image, but even more so to make something that actually wants to move beyond that and grow. This is something I could show to my mom, and that's a real beautiful thing right there.

Vinnie is one of my top 5 rappers, phenomenal artist but I can’t think of a single storyline track of his? Maybe Uncommon Valour, Razorblade Salvation an Same Story, kind of premise tracks, he’s usually just be barrin out an spittin knowledge

Ive played this song probably 10x already, this hits me deep. The story seems to be about the acceptance of death, and the coming of age, when a child realizes what seemed to be infinite is in fact finite. To become a man once must accept death and not turn away from it or pretend it doesn't exist, but rather embrace it and feel the pain of death fully. Written poetically and raw in true vinnie paz style. Good stuff.

XYKillin Time if you listen to some of his recent interviews, you understand this song. Don't be a fan-boy expecting a true artist to always sound the same. He's on a spiritual journey to become a better father, and I feel that this track represents that... at least that's what I personally take from it.

The way Vinnie has evolved and grown as an artist is amazing and this track cements how serious and real Vinnie is with his work, not too many can successfully or are willing to go between hardcore murder rap to this deep emotional type of music on the same record. I've been banging JMT and AOTP for years, and yeah I love the violent horrorcore music but this track is something else entirely and it's beautiful. Type of shit to really get you inspired and thinking. Huge respect to Vinnie for the artistry on this one. People gotta stop hating just because it's not some hardcore killer music. You have to realize that violent stuff is just part of the image of the genre that Vinnie leads and as a human being he isn't actually some guy going out massacring everyone and shit, he's a real man who can tap into all ends of his emotions and thoughts as well as express it amazingly. Huge ups JMT, can't wait for the full album.

Yes, I completely agree with everything in your comment. I loved the JMT , AOTP to a lesser extent, I am not into the "cash, drugs, cars, hoes" thing..I love hip hop but the misogyny is one thing that kills me, and bragging that you made it... That's nice n all especially if you were kept down, however the only making it that matters is constant evolution of the mind, spirit and healthy body...mind & soul over all...and the knowledge and love you spread. I'm glad he came back out of some of his past ugliness.

Lyrics >>> [Verse 1] Vinnie Paz The rain is gods tears, it pours when he cry But know that you welcome in his arms when you die The rain is the form of a gas in the sky That bring back life to a plant when it’s dry The rain purify and wash away dirt And wash away anything in your life that could hurt Rain is water in it most pure form The rain pour down make it cool when it’s warm The rain sound good on my pain when I’m sleep The ocean love rain and the drain in the deep Rain play a role in protecting the ground Prevents us from politicians lettin’ us down The rain known to alleviate stress So go for a walk and in rain it’s the best The rain came then the love came over me Its Pete Steen let the love rain over me [Chorus] Ooh Let it rain, let it rain Let me know the call and how it feels And ill never turn away Ooh feel the pain, beautiful pain Let me hold on to the memory of how you looked today [Verse 2] Vinnie Paz Embrace the pain boy it’s good for your soul You face the pain and see it could made you old Ignoring the pain will make you hurt someone else Go toward pain it’s a game for the self Pain isn’t bad it could make you feel free It isn’t life threating to make me feel me Kill two birds with one stone, even three By recognizing pain is too painful to see Pain is the opposite, run it to hell fleein’ Negative emotion is key to well being Anger and pain are an important part of life Important as the way the sun sets in the night Pain can help you breathe and calculate fact Give you time to think and evaluate that Accepting the pain by breathing slow, breathe deep And you will never have to feel pain when you sleep [Chorus] Ooh Let it rain, let it rain Let me know the call and how it feels And ill never turn away Ooh feel the pain, beautiful pain Let me hold on to the memory of how you looked today

Red Eyed Monster the masses are dumbed down and brainwashed you don’t want to be a part of that and fame and glamour should never be something you desire. A lot of rich people don’t know how to handle their money and start doing stupid things power inherently corrupts. It’s ok to be successful but at what cost ? If the industry owns you Could you write your own stuff, dress how you wanna dress, be who you wanna be ? There is an image to uphold many successful entertainers and celebrities are told what to do.

AkiraVrz My man...I’m aware he produced the beat. What I’m saying is since he originally left the group in 2011, it’s not the same sound. Feels more like a Vinnie Paz solo album which it pretty much is.

TANKtheRipper I wasn’t hating on the LP. It sounds like I was in hindsight but I was feeling it sounded more like a solo album than JMT.

A great dose of maturing in this song Vinnie. Your turning into a wise old man which is what your younger listeners need and older listeners like me also enjoy. Growing through your music. When are you and Apathy the alien tongue gonna make mature old man music together?

He's been a pretty deep emcee but his hardcore persona is what really stands out. That's how I found his music initially, an angry teenager that fucking loved that angry and aggressive style but as I grew I looked to appreciate his more lyrical works. One of my favorite tracks is probably "Death Messiah" off of "A History of Violence"
