Today we're snowboarding again at Mammoth mountain and we're continuing to explore and find new terrain. In the morning our friend from SportRx Austin guided us though some trees. The snow was a bit heavy but we kept our tips up and soared though. Next we headed up the chair and found ourselves in heavy white out conditions. Even with our low light goggle it was difficult to see. We had to use our Jedi snowboard skills to feel our way though. Finally we found some better powder snow where we could hit some small drops and slashes. Our friend Tyler from SportRx was throwing front flips and backflips and just hucking himself. We're continuing to make videos all week here at Mammoth Mountain. More snowboarding to come and tomorrow may be a bluebird powder day! Thanks for watching!

Hey guys, i was wondering. You wear your helmets like all the time. Do you protect you backs with protector vests or something similar? If not, how about you test out some and do recommendation vids on them for like pow situations, groomers and some lighter ones for parks? Would be sick to see how vests perform in the different terrains. The only one recommended from all the local stores is the Dianese flexagon waistcoat, but the one reviews you can find are for skiers. Thumbs up for a new vid!

Austin, were you rocking the Prizm Sapphire; if so how did they fair in those conditions? I plan on getting the Hi Pinks for the low vis days but I cant decide between the Sapphire or Jade for my everyday riding.
@sportrxeyewear

Honestly I think Prizm Sapphire fairs pretty well in all conditions. I would prefer rose or hi pink but I think it does better in white out conditions than Jade - Austin

Yo what’s up guys I love the new shades. I have a question regarding boards. I’m a pretty big park and all terrain rider and I’m looking at getting a new board. My top 3 are the Capita DOA. Capita The outsiders. And the Capita black snowboard of death. What are your thoughts on all 3 of those and which one would you recommend

@dubbreak
@dubbreak 6 жыл бұрын
His stance on the warpig seems to be more freeride right now rather than freestyle. Usually he's +15/-15 but it looks more like +15/-6 or something. Rear foot looked a lot closer to 0 degrees than usual. Looks like pretty isht conditions on an unfamiliar hill. So far neither of them has hit anything like they would on their home hills.
@MikeeeT10
@MikeeeT10 6 жыл бұрын
dubbreak its a personal thing for me but I️ like going with a directional stance on my board in the powder so maybe he’s doing the same? But I️ agree on the terrain man, new mountains always take some getting used to
@TubeLadin
@TubeLadin 6 жыл бұрын
pretty sure he only fell once in the whole vid?
@dubbreak
@dubbreak 6 жыл бұрын
Nah, definitely more than once. I appreciate seeing him not ride absolutely perfect. I had commented about that on one of his reviews. Not having any crashes in the edit makes him look super human. He's got awesome style with his tweaks and pokes and he ties tricks together with great fluidity. His carves are pretty damn awesome too (see his warpig review, he was ripping it up.. at least I think that's the one where he way laying down some major lean). Some crashes making it in makes it a bit more realistic (rather than the best try out of who knows how many). With those conditions I'm surprised they had anything good to post. I don't know how they stay so positive. It looks wet and chunky. TJ should have just stayed in Whistler another week ;).
