When running the pipe the circular step behind is super important along with the head pressure on the thigh. With the second finish on the single leg changing your level and shooting is really important to get that second leg, if you don't its easy to space apart and avoid the takedown. On the trip finish be careful reaching to the far hip as that gives the other man an opportunity to roll out and sweep on the feet than follow him to the ground otherwise its much more of a 50/50. When you step over the leg put the foot in your armpit to secure it easier to hold on if they try to escape that way. That recut singleness almost always not your best option, the high crotch technique is really good but when you finish to a double bring the legs to the outside and lift. The double legs shown with the inside trips are pretty clunky and slow, almost all wrestlers agree that a lift finish or driving through is a more reliable takedown. Armdragging right to the back take is super rare and can usually only be preformed on bad opponents. Using an arm drag to a single is way more reliable, and faking an arm drag and getting them to circle is amazing.

I do really like that jiu-jitsu people are focusing more on takedowns, but definitely wrestling is the best source for no-gi stuff as its so much more of a focus in wrestling, and getting taken down is so much worse in wrestling than jiu-jitsu.

You’ve definitely taken a few people down my man. Obviously not all these takedowns have the same finishing rate. I had to go through a lot of trial and error my first few years to find takedowns that worked so I wanted to give people in that situation some ideas to play with. Appreciate the feedback!!

Agree. The step behind for running the pipe is super important. Also putting pressure from your chest down onto their knee. The step behind helps swing them down in like a pendulum motion.

@@jedidoesjiujitsu3177 I didn't mean no shade by it I've been wrestling for a while and I'm pretty interested in jiu-jitsu so it's really cool to see the two worlds collide for me. I would love to see how to transition from these takedowns to ground offense!

They say that attack number 5 can break your knees. I did this and recorded it and posted it on fb and turns out there are a lot of negative comments about atk no.5. For me, while doing atk no5 my knee never gets hurt even when doing it on heavier opponents.

@@jedidoesjiujitsu3177 Yeah, I've also done it a lot of times to bigger guys, even though I'm not an enrolled jiujiteiro, I still end up not hurting any parts of my body. I trust you and there is nothing wrong with the move, it's just there are some people who always disagree.
