If you have an 87-90 Jeep 4.0 Renix, go to the hardware store and pick up bulk O-rings sizes 117, 219, and 230. Should be $3 or less and you don't need to buy extras! My local Co-op hardware store carries them all.

I did this once and it blew out the ones at the hardware don’t take heat very well

Hey man, I'm about to do my swap of these O-rings, did you have any leaks from that O-ring kit as opposed to buying the correct sizes? I just bought a kit from Napa but I don't know if I should use them or not because of the sizes (its the same kit you have). Just don't want to cause any major issues

Just make sure the o ring matches you should be fine mine never leaked

Does that little spout coming out of the engine, have to aline with any grove on the inside of the housing adaptor?

Cause I have the older style cherokee with the filter facing up and it gets messy when doing an oil change plusieurs I have to clean out the old oil within the adapter after taking out the filter, my only concern is if it would damage a 26 year old seal that have leaked yet
