I've had these installed and noticed the leafs are slightly splayed and make contact with the front corner of the boxes. Not a big deal I just took a grinder and nipped the corner of the bottom leaf just enough to clear. i was wondering if you've heard or was similar in your case?

Yeah i can't find a video of these sliders flexing anywhere. This is the only video that exists it seems like. I really want them but are hesitant cause i can't find any videos or pics only hearsay.

I have an 83 toyota and put in long travel 4" lift springs in front. I had to move front 3" forward and i still do not have good shackle angle. As it is now i think my shackles will hit my cab mount brackets. I have been trying to find out as much as possible about slider boxes. Would this work in my toy and would it eliminate my problem with the cab mount? Thanks for any input

Hey man, sorry I keep buggin ya ha. do the sliders add any lift to your setup? or does it keep it the same as with a stock shackle?

chad matson Im not sure, It seems like it is pretty close to the same height as it was with the factory shackle setup I had before, but I would call LII and ask what their specs are. Sorry I'm not going to be much help, but I would rather be sorry than give you crappy advice.

Do they ride considerably better than the stock shackles?

Watupal Yes, the reason that led me to getting these is that the shackle housing was ripping apart from the frame. Very smooth and controlled flex.

I know this is an old video, but I was wondering what rear leafs you were running with these? I'm looking at RE 5.5", but they're about 4" longer than stock. I'm not sure how well they'd fit.

Steve Boehm I have a really heavy duty custom bumper with the spare tire attached to it so the springs are a little heavier than normal as not to sag with the unconventional weight and achieve about a 4.5" lift. I can't remember what the rating was though, sorry.

steve bigler This is the bolt on version for XJ’s. They also sell a universal mount that you can have custom welded onto your chassis. steve bigler I’m still riding on the original slider picks from 4 1/2 years ago and they are still in great shape with very little wear, they are a great product, glad I could help!

Laqutis liquid iron industries still makes them, I’m just a customer. Had em since the video was made and I’m still using the original slider pucks with little wear. Thumbs up from me.

this has been around longer than you have and is proven. it flexes better, rides better, and doesn't unload like shackles. very solid system. and UHMW plastic doesn't wear out anywhere near as quick as standard bushings. leafs still make noise so that hardly matters

UHMW? Unload? I don't under stand these terms so I still don't see the benefit of installing noisy heavy parts.

If you can't comprehend what shackles loading/unloading means, you probably shouldn't be knocking any products. You're sitting here knocking this product when you don't truly understand the difference or advantage.
