How bout engineering it with suspension that actually works next time
@voodoo15066 ай бұрын
They could’ve gone crazy and added a 392 to a Sport model 2-door, mopar lift and sell that for about $45-50k…with a radio and all..
@helmhamburgerhand6 ай бұрын
The 392 should've been offered for the wrangler and gladiator at most 65K. But theyre greedy and would never offer it at realistic prices
@mattbrew116 ай бұрын

This is something we do in the RC crawler community. But we achieve it with portal axles and the scale tires measure out to about 47.5 inches. I think it looks great!
@Austinandjules6 ай бұрын
A D60 axle tube is bigger and the spring mounts are higher then a 30. So it is lifted an inch minimum. Better way to put it is its on stock springs.
@krashnpa6 ай бұрын
Good work, Jeep; you built a concept with a soon-to-be defunct engine, a non-functional suspension, and pretty colors for the media to parade around in during the Moab dog and pony show. How about showing everyone what's next? Now that would be a concept I'd be interested in seeing.

@krashnpa6 ай бұрын
@mattbrew11 lol, interest in what?! Last generation? Jeep isn't in the used vehicle business. If Jeep told me today that they are shoe horning the hurricane into the next JT or JL, you're damn right that I am going to wait and buy one vs the competition's offerings.

I would rather see a Wrangler fitted with the Hurricane I-6 and a six speed manual, perhaps previewing what’s to come in the next generation of Wranglers. They could even put some 31’s on it, showing off a somewhat affordable preview of what’s to come…

Jeep is having transfer case issues on the 392 models. 42” tires would only increase the problems.
@mattbrew116 ай бұрын
Thats because full time 4x4 has no business on a solid axle vehicle but for safety reasons they had to do it.

I would buy some 3rd party aftermarket transfer case such as the ATLAS-II from Advanced Adpaters. They can even do a 4:1 Crawl Ratio for extreme rock crawling and mud bashing. You can get MUCH BETTER transfer cases in the aftermarket. V

Gee that 392 sounds familiar. Oh yah, my Charger runs that. 🥰 Absolutely phenomenal engine. Sounds superb. Runs like a top. And Stellantis killing it off is like taking the heart out of a bull. It is pathetic. Self destructive. Putting it in the Jeep was pure insanity imo. But fun! Not going to miss it there. And this whole jeep concept is 1 I don't care about. As in, I agree, I would not do this, or care for it in a production line. It is an asphalt queen. No need for lockers or any of that nonsense. Can just go to parking lots and look pretty for the enthusiasts.

Jeep only ever made pavement princesses. The jeep guys they say "i cant drive my jeep through those two bushes slightly too close together because the branches will brush on my soft fragile clearcoat and my water based paint and leave pinstrips and i paid 45,000 dollars i cant have pinstrips im going to stay on the trail where my jeep is rated. My trail rated jeep i cant take between two bushes off the trail. My soft weak soy latte vegan leather jeep trail rated trail rated. i took a loan on a trail rated badge cant drive between two bushes my soft clear coat" if it was me engineering jeeps that bush better get the hell outta the way or my jeep is gonna make it get the hell outta the way. You feel me. The tree is going to hage to worry about my body panel scratching it and not the other way around. When i hage to sell more id send every model out the door with 500 dollars worth of premium cut beef in the cooler in the back and right next to it, 500 dollars worth of 9x19. Every single one gonna have murican flag onit. At the highest point. Have 5 guys dissassemble and reassemble it in a parking lot in no more than 61 minutes. No plastic buttons. If I engineered jeeps theyd be built to withstand the test of time. Id reimvent the damned radiator man. Theyre so junk now we have to reinvent it all. Enough is enough.

The person who cut that frame is incompetent! The tires will be cut to shreds in mere minutes! I would NEVER have done that! You cut that panel flat down to the body curves and weld a curved T-bar to ensure frame integrity! You NEED to put a lift on it in order to clear the tires! This is BAD engineering! And this is coming from a guy who CNC'es 3000 HP V12s into F450's and 1500 HP all-titanium engines into F150's! V
