Aren’t the UAW folks the actual people who physically manufacture these vehicles? Perhaps they should get a bigger cut of the pie instead of the shareholders? Without them there would be no cars. Remember the workers already took massive pay cuts and lost their pensions when the auto industry collapsed last time. Industry was bailed out by the taxpayer, but the workers were never made whole.

Stellantis needs a CEO that is a work-out/turnaround expert. It will take a couple of years to plug the massive holes in the ship, in order to keep it afloat. After that- they should find a CEO that has an actual vision with a strategy for long term success, who will bring in a real management team that can rebuild the company from the ground up. Carlos Tavares has ruined the brand, at least in the US. The BOD shouldn't wait until 2026 when the contract expires. They need to act immediately. It's that bad folks............

In 2013 I bought a great 1500 RAM 1500, it was pretty much loaded and it was built like a tank (38k). No issues with the vehicle. After 11 yrs needed a new truck, so I looked at all of them, when I go to to RAM .... wow... how they cheapened the truck. So much hard plastic in the interior and WAY TOO MUCH aluminum in the body. Compared to my 2013, I could feel the body actually bounce and bob (like a fishing bobber) because the body was so lightened. Bought a new 4Runner 4x4 ($42k) and got a great deal, and it had MORE creature comforts than the 2024 Ram 1500 (64k)- so disappointed with the Stellantis. RAM 1500. And no for FORD or GM - been there, done that, and lost so much money on repairs over the life of the trucks.

CEOs can see the train wreck coming from a long way off and they have the analysis telling them why. But moving from a high margin environment to a low margin environment is not a job any CEO wants to go through. I went though this in the 1980s with a company and I found another job in a high-margin area before the collapse. A real leaders comes up with a plan to reflect changes in the marketplace. Maybe that means making a lot of cheaper cars - the cars that people want. Margins are lower and they may have to live in that world for 5-10 years. This is similar to Nike where they just threw out the CEO. He had many years and Nike, instead of working on new technology and new products, just worked on better retail channels and additional colorways.

So just charge 1 million dollars a truck sell 3, 4 thousand of them, problem solved... If you build it we don't have to buy.

I can be the new ceo. I’ll lower MSRP’s and hire a new quality control team. Sales will improve immediately

I'm not sure Stellantis can survive until 2026 with Tavares at the helm. They need to fire him yesterday.

Stellantis knows nothing about the North American market. Trying to cater to those who buy BMW's, Mercedes is tanking Chrysler and its branches.

They could bring back 100 new V8 models and it wont change a damn thing. They will still be wildly out of budget for 99% of buyers.. It is the pricing.. This new method is now set in stone.. Sit on inventory for however long it takes until the village full of idiots shows up for the 84 month 14% loans.. The dealers will still win with massive margins, point spreads and ultra profitable trade swaps. Then they get a trade on a trade and then a trade on that trade.. Everybody has blinders on not understanding that the money flows way beyond that shiny new metal thats been sitting on the lots..

What is happening with the Grandson of Chrysler buying the company? Does he have the means to buy without investors?

Can’t they just buy out the remainder of his contract and get rid of him? I don’t think they can survive more of the same until 2026.

FCA was a dumpster fire from the word go. I mean, let's put together Fiat and broke Dodge, that should work well. I'm not sure what PSA found attractive about that s---show. Was It Dodge re-imagining itself as a luxury brand? Fiat's impressive string of years with >20% declining sales in America? The thoughts of turning this hot mess into some kind of automotive LVMH built around electric Dodge Chargers and $100,000 Jeeps? FCA is cursed.
