Sorry but the prices for trucks are not coming down and people r still getting screwed on tradeins. I have been trying to get a good deal for six months on a new truck but the only thing decreasing is the trade in value! Then you go and look at what used trucks with 3 times the mileage and are older models are being sold for…… what a friggin scam.

Lets look at the big picture and not just the sugar coated low prices. There are still a lot of people in the truck world that are brand loyal, myself included, that wont buy a Ram pickup. I dont care if its 50% off. Its still a big investment, and lets look at the manufacturer, lets look at service after the sale.... If your trading in your vehicle towards one of these, you better make sure its paid off. This will probably move some inventory, but I dont want to buy from a company that brought themselves to this level, plus the fact once this inventory is depleted are repeat customers going to upgrade to new trucks at the regular prices? Im thinking NO. GM and Ford should not drop their pants just because of this. I also dont like the fact that they have changed owners so many times, let alone at how the dealers have been treated along with the consumer. No thanks, Im not buying.

I used to watch these videos and follow CarEdge regularly, but I’ve decided to boycott until the clickbait and exaggerated titles stop-especially the constant use of "Shocked" in every video. I would have been just as interested in content like "Carvana Accounting Grift for the Ages" without the sensationalism. Unfortunately, this approach feels sleazy and no different from the tactics used by dealerships.

If I didn't use those types of titles the system would not show you the video anyway since no one would click... So either way you wouldn't be able to watch it

if id be stellantis ceo id slash every msrp by 35%-40% then force the dealers to report their full sales price. (copy of contracts) if they go above MSRP they get their dealer licence pulled.(all fees included.) all the other brands should also do the same. if they don't , compannies could very well take the market by just producing bare minimum cars and trucks at very cheap but high reliability prices. (wich all they need for is higher quality control at their production and possibly more automation )

Just starting the video, but for those who don't know: Hindenburg Research is a financial firm that focuses on short selling (betting that companies stock will go down) so they are not impartial and very much publish targeted research hoping to make money. That's not to say the research is wrong, but that they are publishing this out of their own self-interest and have a mixed record of accuracy. They are trying to make a buck, not do investigative journalism.

Smells like Enron's trick of burying losses in shell companies to get the debt off the books? Their "accounting" is probably creatively realizing all the financing profit over the course of the loan as soon as the loan is created, also like Enron did?

What sucks is when you work hard have good credit and want to treat yourself or need a new car or truck and they cost more than your years salary and I'm not talking about top trim with all the options just a regular truck or in my case a jeep and you see 50k plus and over 40k for a 2 door and can't even afford one. I could agree to 72 or 84 months and pay even more but still have $800 to 1k monthly payments. That's a mortgage payment. These prices have priced out I'm guessing around 75% of Americans. From what I Googled only 18% of Americans make over 6 figure incomes so who's the market that 18%??

It's a consumer based economy. Yet, our interest rates and leaders act like we have a huge manufacturing base, our interest rates are at record highs ever since manufacturing left and people think things will be fine...interest rates will have to come down because car prices will crash and homes will see probably a 10-15% hit if not more.

@@TheGuruStud Well if they didn't pay back loans to the government, then the government should have called them out on that 'lie'. Personally I don't think either they or Chrysler should have been 'bailed out' but should have been allowed to go out of business. Someone would have bought the physical assets out of bankruptcy and reconstituted the company on a sound financial footing without the UAW hanging around their necks. It was mostly a bailout of the unions - at that time a main Dem constituency.
