The 'animal spirits' - including what economists call the "Consumer's Propensity to Spend" will come back in a bigger way next year. There's a short video today of Kammie Harris (I grew up in Hawaii, we would have called her Kammie) - she's done a video while slightly intoxicated, and the next president (DJT) does not drink, so things seemed to work out for the best. We need clear thinking because the economy still sucks. We suspect the CEO of Stellantis will get an early exit because that company is going down, in flames, in a nose dive, and they need a new pilot. .

Tough life. I could never become a used vehicle dealer. There has to be so much competition at auctions just to get a vehicle at the right price and then try to turn it around to sell to customers. I wonder how you see your business under the new Trump Regime in 2025. Are used car prices going to increase???? Thanks for your videos.

Hi Brandon. I can give you a great deal on a gently used umbrella. It's only been used in twelve thunderstorms and comes with the original protective cover. I know it's of excellent quality as it was Made in China. Can we talk about a deal?

CAFE is to blame for the all the EV's being sold with huge discounts Car companies are not going to hit the mandate, unless they sell lots of EV's. Even Hybrids don't help. "On July 29, 2011, President Obama announced an agreement with thirteen large automakers to increase fuel economy to 54.5 miles per gallon for cars and light-duty trucks by model year 2025." This is the information I've been given - was created in 2011 and nobody fixed it. This is the reason why companies are struggling to make $20K compacts and $25K small crossovers - they have to subsidize the losses they take to build EV's. Add to this the government funding a huge part of the purchase with rebates and tax breaks. These are the facts - I'm glad I'm not an executive of an auto manufacturer!

I bought a hail damaged Subaru for $7,000 off MSRP. I traded it in on a rainy day, and got full trade - in. That was about 20 years ago, I still feel bad about doing that.

If a car is over 100K miles do you check if the timing belt/chain has been serviced? Visual checks for things like leaking head gaskets? Expensive fix stuff.

There are 17 different RAV 4 trim levels that Toyota makes. Add to this the 6 + exterior colors and 3 different interior colors. No, there isn't an oversupply. If the area you live in has that many RAV4's, then consider yourself lucky. To get 10% off MSRP is a stretch. Maybe someone was able to do it, but it's very unlikely. Why? Because there isn't a 10% difference between invoice and MSRP. Even with holdback and other additional money the dealers get, there isn't 10%. The only way a dealer would give you a car below their cost is if they made a substantial amount on buying your trade in or selling you products and services. Or bumping the interest rate. I've been in the auto industry for over 22 years and the information I provide is fact. There is no EMERGENCY MODE at Toyota dealers. A mid size dealer should have 450-500 cars on the lot. That's during normal times, not EMERGENCY MODE times (maybe 600-700 cars would qualify). So if the dealers aren't worried about excess inventory and they also know that prices are going up in 2025 (tariffs will cause prices to go up - parts and supplies will cost more), then they would be okay to let a money losing deal walk out the door in November 2024. Stellantis - yes, I can see that they have to be close to panic mode ... but not Toyota or Honda.

I'm not sure what State this is so called price dropping. I went to 2 dealerships looking for a part for my old Sienna, and both were full. People were waiting in outside chairs. Here in Texas, it seems like Toyota is selling like crazy. Prices are still high, so I'm not sure.

The quality has gone down and prices have gone up its just greed there's no reason prices should be where their at inflation should have no effect on the cost of a vehicle also the fact that they cram so much tech into new vehicles just going back to manual window openers on its own can bring the cost down by a couple grand if they stopped putting big lcd screens and push to start and sunroofs and so on and so on led lights is like 5k easy thats the program with new vehicles and the prices but nobody's offering bare bones limited comfort features so take a tundra remove all the tech and led lights touch screens and lcds and digital guages basically make em like they made em in the 90s and early 2000s and that tundra might be worth 40k only because it's a toyota and you expect reliability for upwords 400kmiles

They are perfectly fine. I watch my local dealership, most models can't make it 48 hours on the lot or are pre sold. Yeah a few truck issues they will work through. Everything else is 8 of the top 10 in sales. Its getting a bit repetitive with the videos. Every day is doomsday. People still need new cars and they buy them. There is no collapse today, there is no collapse tomorrow. Its for clicks. Tacoma's that are not 4WD disappear fast. Higher trims disappear instantly!

I’m going to get a bumper sticker saying “Don’t buy a Toyota Tacoma” mines was leaking water from the top brake light and it had so much mold under my seats when I found out, that Toyota had to keep the truck for six months to get rid of the mold and never compensated me.

No games. No lies. No drama. Warranties are priced for each particular vehicle. Warranty does cover everything bumper to bumper to 150k odometer miles. Carmax is usually a bit or even a LOT higher than other advertised prices. Getting out with advertised prices is tough. I love the concept.
