If you don’t want to disconnect everything in the front, there’s an easy workaround. If you have a spring compressor tool that clamps to the outside of the spring, you get a jack under one corner and jack it up as high as it will go. Then, attach the spring compressor tool to the compressed spring and tighten. Now, you slowly let that corner down and you’ll be able to remove the compressed spring, install the spacer(s) and bump stop with everything attached. Just be careful of the compressed spring as it store a lot of energy and the external spring compressors can slip down the coil. The Jeep’s springs are so long and flexy that there’s enough movement. I discovered this years ago on a RAM HD front spring I was installing a leveling kit on, AND have used it to install replacement springs where I do not want to disconnect control arms in Chevy trucks.

On the Rubicon dont forget to remove the locker wire plug too. Other than that it's pretty much the same. Good video👍

Would using a spring compressor tool mean not having to remove so many other parts?
@craigkrumwiede51443 жыл бұрын
Could this be done with a spring compressor? Seems like it would be much simpler.

i want this kit for my new overland gladaitor but worry about the 2 pieces stacked rubbing together n into peices aso dont wanna lose all my rake i see people installing a 3/4 spacer in the rear to wish they made it just a 1 n half inch solid piece
@richardneal18542 жыл бұрын
My Jeep came with bump stops. I don’t see the original bump stops on your Jeep. I’m assuming I need to take the old bump stops off and replace them with the ones that come with the kit.

Most importantly, is the top of the tire to the bottom of the fender lip clearance exactly the same front and rear?
@prestigevending152 жыл бұрын
Bought this kit from ET and had a shop install it. Drivers side spring seems to bow out towards tire. Ride and hight os dead on just worried it’s not normal.
@goodinsrt82 жыл бұрын
So is way easier to install the bump stops BEFORE putting the springs back on.

I put a 6 inch lift kit And the front sits lower as I have a big bumper and winch Can I put this on top of the 6 inch spring to level it out?

Does these work for the Mojave?

Extreme Terrain, can you explain the comment about only adding the 1" to the front if you are towing. Is this because of the change in angle of the hitch?
@jav_eee Жыл бұрын
It’s so that you won’t be nose high, headlights to the sky. Hitch angle doesn’t matter.
@EFFTrudeau-0015 ай бұрын
You can actually put 37" on with the Rubicon and Mojave
@extremeterrain5 ай бұрын
Their high clearance fender flares would definitely make fitting 37s possible! -Zach

Side note question ... if installing a full lift kit.. will a front level spacer still be required or need to he considered in the equation? Cheers fornsharingbthis tip and fitment of level spacer kit 🤘😎
@extremeterrain2 жыл бұрын
Depending on what kit you go with, I'd usually recommend removing the spacer when adding the lift kit because the shocks and other supporting components like the sway bar end links and relocation brackets usually will accommodate for that height and not the added 1.5" or whatever the spacer is. You can add aftermarket springs and components that will work with the lift height in addition to the spacer. Again, usually will just rock the lift since it's usually an upgrade anyway! Thanks for the comment! -Merideth

@@extremeterrain cheers for the reply... yes I eas thinking the nose drop was due to the original spring height, which is why lifter blocks are used to lift front level... and generally a full suspension lift will accommodate and true flat lift.. 🛵💨💨

Will this kit be able to run 35s on willys ? I want to be able to still do some wheeling but really don't want it to sit too much higher . Stuck between this or the 2.5in
@extremeterrain2 жыл бұрын
35s will fit just fine on a 1.5" lift for daily driving! I would recommend checking out a 2.5" lift if you plan on taking it on any moderate trails though, the larger lift will give your tires more room to articulate over rocks and bumps compared to the 1.5". -Zach

Looking at this kit. Are longer shocks or shock extenders needed?

By adding this leveling kit, have you noticed a change in the ride quality?

The nice thing about spacer kits like this - is that you're retaining factory springs and shocks! This means that over-all ride quality will be similar to stock! -Zach

Can I run 35's with this leveling kit on a Gladiator Sport? Has anyone done it with out any issues? Thanks
@brutallyhonestmf55783 жыл бұрын
No, you can run 33s max. Sport fenders are lower than Rubicon's and 35s will rub without more lift.

Doesn't the factory rake serve a purpose since it has a "truck bed?"
@noco63673 жыл бұрын
The people who get this kit for their Gladiator probably only use the bed of their truck when buddy asks for their help moving...

Have you ever heard of I dont know? a Steel Bumper and winch? my steel bumper weighs significantly more than oem bumper so yea, a leveling kit brings back up whats lost.

You can buy leveling kits for pretty much every truck in the market. F150s, Rams, Silverados etc.
