Bro, I’m only two minutes into this video, and I just got to stop here and say you’re a legend. When i did my sparkplug change at 100k, i changed the plenum gaskets, pcv valve, spark plugs, and coil packs. I broke a tab from a connector and stripped one of the manifold bolts once i was putting everything back together.

Thanks for the simplified video. The k&n filter lasts for 50k because it only stops half the dust that a paper filter does. Idk, im just not a fan. Buy wix/hastings/bosch from rockauto for 10 bucks and change it every 30k +/-.

2:14 did you also have to remove a 13mm nut in the back aside from the two 10mm?

I have a misfire on cylinder 2. Really dreading having to remove the intake manifold. Did you remove the wipers and firewall?

Question, I have a 2015 grand Cherokee, do I need to replace with mopart spark plugs and coils, or can I used NGK OR BOSCH?

i always prefer oem on a non modified vehicle but that is up to you. Dont fool yourself with brand names because many times they prematurely fail. For better words if you OEM ones got 60k miles and you good with that, why not stick with that?>

@@EngineInformant Yeah paying for Mopar plugs and coils are a rip off. Even though my 15' Grand Cherokee came with Champion plugs.I went back with Champion plugs but Bosch coils. The reason I had to breakdown everything was to replace that infamous oil filter cooler. So while I had everything open I just went ahead and replaced the plugs and coils. Might as well.....and this was at 160K miles

I made the mistake of not changing out my ignition coils at my last spark plug change, I highly suggest doing that if you have over 100-125K on your engine while you're in there for the next spark plug change since it is time consuming to get access...

Bracket, Intake Manifold, Support , will leaving the two upper bolts off of the bracket , will it cause a negative effect?

This is where a service technician would tell you they were put there for a reason. You may be fine but I cannot technically or legally confirm that. I would put at least one in.

Thank you so much as a female trying to do my exact same 2012 Jeep about to be a real pain. But I can't afford 800 dollars to do a tune up or even 500 for that matter.

So I changed my spark plugs and started my car didn’t drive cuz engine was making noise and shaking manifold and smoke started coming out , any help

Rock auto is showing OEM recommendation at .44mm gap on like 90% of their plugs, and then a couple say .40 gap like in your video, confused why they would show 2 different OEM gap lengths.

Not sure could be an update after time. Either way you prob will have a tough time adjusting .04 difference let alone notice a difference.

I wonder if anyone has ever used a dremel to slot those black brackets and then use a lock washer to help hold down that side of the plenum

no i believe cylinder #1 is the front passenger side. Easiest one to get too!😉

I get a weird stutter once every 5 or 6 take offs from a dead stop. Only lasts for about 1-2 seconds and then fine. It feels like a misfire. Its totally random though. Does that sound like spark plugs or coils? 2013 WK2 140,000 mi. Runs great otherwise.

@cd1776travel Yup. It was a the coil pack going bad on cylinder #1. Just had the whole drivers side done to save on labor because you have to take the manifold off and reseal it.

A lack of power doesn't always indicate that the spark plugs need replacement.
