2023 sahara with a 3.5 lift. Had to use spacers to clear my lower control arms. Still with stock tires and wheels (31in tires. 19 inch wheels). Rides like a dream

Thank you! I just purchased a 2021 Willys (4 door hardtop no lift) and I hate the stock mud tires! I definitely want to go up to the 35” tires but couldn’t find any information on what type to get and the pros and cons of doing so. Your video has been very helpful. Especially the 10mm spacers, their cost and the ease of putting them in. I’m going to go and find videos on how to install the spacers, now. Thanks very much for this informative/helpful video. It’s exactly what I needed.

The stock MT tires on the Willys are my only downside to it. I love the wheels, love the black accents all over, and the black glossy grille looks amazing with the Reign purple paint. but I'm considering grabbing a set of either 33" or 35" Nitto Recon Grapplers in the immediate future.

Great look and video. I am doing the same setup but getting aftermarket wheels with a -12 offset so they don’t rub. Thank you for sharing this.

I agree with Justin that Jeep should have the Wranglers come stock like Justin's set up. However, if you plan to get a Wrangler on a budget because the aftermarket route gets expensive, then get the Xtreme Recon package on a Willys Sport or Willys is the way to go which comes with 35s, wider factory wheels, 4.88 gears, 2 inch Mopar lift, reinforced tailgate hinges, and relocation spare tire bracket straight from the factory which ultimately won't affect your factory warranty. I wished I went that route. The 8 speed tran works well with 35s on my Willys JLU, so in my opinion I probably won't regear unless I am going to start putting more weight on my Jeep or offroad like rock crawling.

I agree. This is a 2020. If only I waiting for the XR package. It’s worth it for sure!

I just went to Build a Jeep and noticed when you select a Willys with the 35s, you can't get the manual trans. That sucks! I think my next Jeep I want to be stick.

@@WreckedBrewery Been there done that, with 35s you will never be able to use that 6th gear on highways, in 5th gear the jeep screams a lot on high speeds. Not a good experience tbh.

It's ok for the paved road. It will rub fairly well on plastic fenders when off road. All you need to fix it is used Rubicon springs and shocks, will give you around 1.5" lift

Have a question, I have a Willy's Gladiator and am thinking about 33s or 35s I don't do any rock crawling but I do hit the logging roads of east Texas. How does 35s with no lift handle mild off roading?

I have a JLU Sport S 2022 I have the same exact takeoffs 7.5 wide from a Moab. My main concern is the wide feo the rims yours looks fit perfect. By any chance do you think I’ll be getting any issue in the future because the wheels are not at least 8.5 wide? I want the same tires 315/70/17

Some say yes and some say no. The conclusion I came to was that the 8 speed auto is more than capable of handling 35’s. Regearing would be needed if you have a manual.

@@Micheaux-Holmes I would bet they are. All Terrain is much quieter, if I compare the 32" Firestone Expedition MT2 on my new JL Willys to the 33" Falken Wildpeak ATW3 that came on my Gladiator Rubicon I had before this. I am going to change mine out too, looking at the Nitto Recon Grappler for a nice all terrain tire.
@Desmo1 Жыл бұрын
Will they fit is not really the question. I know there's a ton of flex when on the trails, so this seems like a really bad idea if you bought a jeep to do jeep ish lol.
@AudiomateYVR Жыл бұрын
I hope you’re not taking this thing off-road and only going to malls ‘cause these tires will destroy your fenders on the first flex you do on any small bump/ditch. You need a lift. Same goes for any Willy’s Sahara or sport with 35s.

I put 35x12.5 Atturo Trail Blades XTs that measure about 34.8 inches on 17x9 4.25 backspace -19 offset wheels on my stock Willys JLU. I don't have any rubbing especially on full lock turns. I ended up getting a Rough Country relocation spare tire bracket which a really good amout of space. Based on what I was told, you need at least 4.25 backspace and -18 offset wheels to fit 35x12.5 in. tires without any rubbing on a stock Jeep Wrangler, but you will rub especially the fenders when you go offroading or flex (articulate) the suspension. It will jack up your fenders big time. If you get at least a 2 inch lift and add 35s, then you need at least 4.5 backspace and -12 offset wheels, so you don't rub at full lock turns. The negative offset or lower backspace will have the tires poke out past the fenders. Justin's setup on his is a good one!!!

I don’t really notice anything. It may be a bit more sluggish from like 55-70. But it’s not super noticeable. Honestly the ride quality coming from the fire stone m/t’s is so much better.
