It depends on which one you have. If you have the mini, you need to leave it in all the time. If you want to keep your TPMS, you can either have your tire shop recycle your factory sensors or you can have new ones installed. You would need something like a Tazer JL to recalibrate your speedometer AND to either turn off your TPMS or set the values of them lower but you do not need it to keep the sensors reading correctly.

You mentioned that unlike the JK, you don’t have to measure the actual tires you are using. Just use what’s listed on the tire itself. So, I just purchased and installed some 37x12.50/17” KO2’s for my 2021 JLUR 4xE, and they run pretty small. I measured them on the Jeep today and the diameter was right at 35.5 inches. When not installed on the Jeep, they measure closer to 36. I’ve known a lot of people to say that BFG’s measure smaller than other brands. Is it safe to say that not all 37s are created equal when entering your numbers in with the Tazer?

After you use it on one Jeep can it be used on another? Or is it locked to your Jeep from that "marrying" setting?
@wayalife6 жыл бұрын
It is locked to your Jeep. You can "unmarry" it and then use it on another Jeep but it will then be locked to it.

Did you have the TAZER programmer installed before your MOAB trip?

No

If a Wrangler JL does not come with the Mopar Auxiliary Switch Bank preinstalled, and I install it myself... Can the Tazer JL be used to activate my ability to utilize my new AUX switches?
@wayalife5 жыл бұрын
No. You will need to have your dealership flash your computer to recognize it.

Do you have any problems hitting 8th gear with larger tires
@wayalife10 ай бұрын
Without regearing, 8th gear essentially does not exist.

Hi Eddie. Not sure if I get this why you would put in the JL the tire size which is listed on the side wall instead of measuring it? That does not make any sense to me. We all know that tire manufacturers put any kind of size on the side wall for marketing reasons. BFG to be mentioned where the KM2 37 are in fact only 35.5 in diameter. But that is what you need because it actually counts the true tire being rotated once. Thanks as always to you and Cindy for you vids

Doesn't make any sense to us either. All I can say is that I tried it BOTH WAYS and if I put in the "actual" measurement, I get a speedometer that is off. If I put in what's stated on my sidewall, my speedometer is ON. Now, if you'd rather I lie to you and say this is wrong, I suppose I can do that too :)

Interesting. And no, please keep us all honest by all means. I still wait for the Diesel and soak up every experience others do until with their JL's. Thanks again and greetings from the rough side of the Sierra over to you guys

Can anyone inform if turning off traction control with tazer will disable BLD on the Gladiator? I do not have lockers and would like BLD to stay on.

Looks good, but what about Superchips Traildash 2
@wayalife6 жыл бұрын
This is JL, not a JK. There is no need for a Superchips Traildash 2.

Hi I was about to watch your video about Tazer JL installation It was so impressive anyways, I had a mere problem when I try to kill S/S button on. when I finished the setting and turned the engine off and engine on again, the S/S off button isn’t truned on. How could you do that? Please help me :-/
@wayalife3 жыл бұрын
Assuming you left the Tazer installed on your OBDII, it should remember the last position you had the S/S. If off, that's what it still should be. Perhaps you need to update your Tazer.

@@wayalife Thank you a lot! But I just wonder how I can update my tazer. I got the usb when I bought this , if you had a homepage about these kind of manual, just let me know how :-) Anyways, i think my tazer version is including the s/s mode cause when I left this installed and key on, it worked! should I just dont pull it out from my car? should it be always married when I take the wheel? Please answer me, Thnks a lot again :)

Does the taser need to be programmed before installing in the Jeep ?
@wayalife3 жыл бұрын
No but I would highly recommend that you do an update to get the latest firmware.

I know I’m commenting on an old video but I really need an answer for this. My winters are actually smaller than my stock tires by 1.5 inches and I’m about 7 kmph off (speedometer shows 110kmph when actually only driving 103). Is my odometer based off of the tire rotations because with my calculations I’ve added about 400 kms extra to the odometer that I have not actually driven. Would really appreciate a reply thanks.
@wayalife4 жыл бұрын
You really need to be setting your tire size based on what it measures up to.
@qiongxu19745 жыл бұрын
Hi Eddie, what diameter should I enter for BFG KO2 285/75R17? BFG specs said 33.9 inches. But you mentioned the number on the tire sidewall should be entered into Taser JL. So what's the number for 285/75R17?
@wayalife5 жыл бұрын
I don't know if that's the case anymore. For MOST programmers, you want to enter what you measure - typically, from the center of your wheel to the ground and then x2.
@qiongxu19745 жыл бұрын
@@wayalife Got it. I will measure. Thanks!

Can you remove the tazer jl from the obd 2 slot after you do all the settings or does it have to be plugged in all the time?
@wayalife5 жыл бұрын
So, Tazer now has a Mini and it plugs into the SGW and stays there and there no longer is a module that plugs into the OBDII.
