This video just saved the day , past week has been jyard trip switching fuse box and BCM's just to get different results that dont wrk. Anti theft locked horn lights flashing , another parking lights stay on after everything turned off . Thank you brother you are the Jeep Guy

Thank you for sharing this!!! I have a question sir: I have jeep 2.8 CRD 2003 and non of my dome an courtesy lights does not work (nor when opening the door or with the switch). Fuse 34 is good. Can it be because of the BCM gone bad ? If I do as you describe, will I still be able to start my engine ? Because I've read somewhere on forums that the immobilizer is stored in BCM too. Thank you in advance!!!

How do you remove the wire harness? I loosen up the bolts but not coming out.

Hey I have an 04 Jeep Liberty and two days ago I replaced my alternator. this morning and the day before everything worked good but later on my locks quit working (only work when my key is in on position, and lock only works when door is closed, unlock works no matter what) my radio also no longer is getting power. any idea if that could be with the bcm or module that plugs into it?

I Just got an 03 liberty . Came with an aftermarket avital alarm but no fob...So I got one and had it programmed back in..2 days later I noticed the ajar switch light on the dash. not working..and the shop scanner read that is door ajar in all 4 doors .but that happened suddenly...So they said I could be the bcm.Also there was a burning smell coming from that fuse panel Driver's side... and sometimes the dash lights go on and fuel gauge drops with no reason...Your opinion . Thanks..When I took the fuses out I noticed alarm wiring that could have easily touched metal...and I taped it of.

Have an 05 Jeep Liberty limited that will is keeping constant power to radio,wipers,windows when the key is in the off position. Do you think this is caused by bcm malfunction?

I have a question different truck you described my problems to a tee I have a 2005 navigator my wipers stopped working and my liftgate only work open when the key is in on position and all these idiots have told me to replace the fusebox fusebox was replaced and the issues are still there that do you know if that lil black box is on a vavigator I didn't see anything like that on my fusebox the fusebox is in my passenger side kick panel with a ton of wires and there's no room for anything to be attached to the fusebox anyways any help will be appreciated

Hey got a 06 liberty bcm problems need help

I have a 2005 Jeep Liberty. It keeps blowing the fuse that gives power to the radio, key fob, dome light. ( I believe it's fuse #34??), I had it checked out at a jeep dealership and they told me that I have a bad BCM. They also told me that they don't make them anymore and if I buy one they could program it only if it's new. So can I get a used one from a salvage yard or ebay to resolve this issue? I.m trying to find out, on my 2006 Jeep Liberty, which relay on the BCM controls what. I have low beams that do not work, while all other functions, radio, high beams, horn, interior lights, etc are fine. I've replaced the fuses so know they are good. I think the problem is either the relay on the BCM that controls the low beams, or the light switch on the steering column.

It's on the driver side underneath the dash board. Remove the bottom panel to gain access.

Help! I have a 2008 Jeep Liberty. 2 years ago we had the BCM replaced. One year ago we began having the same problems. The car now would not start over Christmas--plus all of the crazy electrical stuff going off and on. I am not a mechanic. Suggestion please.

your battery is dead, if a jump doesn't work it could be your alternator isn't charging your system correctly I had to replace mine and fixed my not starting issue as my battery just kept running out of charge with a bad alternator

Excellent. How many screws to remove the whole unit. Could you make a video how to remove to get at that module to replace. I keep blowing the number 32 10 amp fuse and the alarm keeps going off short out.

I believe 4 bolts hold the black box on. You don't have to replace the Grey fuse block part. Depending on what ur issue is. Sounds like there is a short in ur alarm? Is it factory or aftermarket?

First, Thank you, great info. My 02 auto door locks stopped working with remotes and inside switches. I'm suspecting the BCM. Do I have to pull the fuse panel to remove the black BCM box. I'm thinking yes. I've read elsewhere that the 02 is different from all other years but you said you replaced your 02 with a later year, correct? Thanks for any help. I live right next to the King of the Hammers race area (Google it;-)

Yes you have to remove it because I think the box is on the other side 👍🏻

Yes you can. As long as you have a 2002 thru 2004 model liberty 2005 thru 2007 is different

Check the fuse first. May not be the BCM

@@BraapEffex We did it's not the fuse, We did it's not the fuse My mechanic told me it was what I mentioned before it's on the left hand side underneath the hood the problem is he failed me 2 weeks ago to pick up my car to get it fixed🤦‍♀️ I live in Chicago when it's snowing or raining I cannot go anywhere it's been a huge drag, but I keep giving God glory it's all in his hand🙏
