Hey, thanks a lot for posting this teardown. I've been stuck trying to fix my cylinder 1 misfire and this is helping me understand the engine better if I have to take the engine cover off.

That's a good question. I don't know. I believe it broke off because of too much pressure and not because of the cylinder head bolted to the engine block. What could have happened is that the injector leaked diesel into the cylinder and caused too much pressure. Это хороший вопрос. Я не знаю. hello how are you? please please please please help me! I am in the process of overhauling my Jeep KJ 2.8 CRD 2003 engine. I lost sight of the fact that it was necessary to make marks before removing the distribution belt! I don't know how to find the point of the engine without a reference. I searched and asked everywhere and didn't get a positive answer. can you help me please! You're welcome. thanks in advance

There’s a hole behind where the turbo is that locates the bottom at the correct mark. The head has two holes on each side of the front which locate the correct position. When all three have pins to lock them in place, then you can align the injector pump and that should be enough to put the belt on. Hope that helps.
