Our 4xe did while my girlfriend was vacationing with her friends. What should we do? Stellantis sent a letter trying to deny responsibility even though the fire department report literally says it was manufacture defect.

Report a safety problem to the NHTSA. Maybe also get in touch with the law firm suing Stellantis, Hagens Berman.

Over 40 years in the automotive world have you seen what it takes to change the two batteries in one of these wranglers or gladiators dealt with a 21 yesterday it is insane. That has to be where the fire is starting because below the main battery is command central for all the, heavy gauge junctions and all it takes is one loose connection to build heat

Brad, this recall honestly frightens me. I've heard that these fires can lead to homelessness situations. I just hope no one gets affected by this anymore. It's outrageous that people have lost their homes because of these car fires caused by gas cars and electric cars.

I bought a '23 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve last year and seeing this video is really making me regret that purchase. I know the fire issue is not happening on this model, but considering I've had other issues already it wouldn't surprise me if that comes up too.

It freaks me out, I have a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee luckily it’s not associated with any issues like you mentioned in this upload but it’s still scary. Manufacturers forget that a person safety should be a main priority and if this manufacturer continues to fail, there is no hope to save these brands because it going to leave a lasting stigma like Ford went through with the Pinto back in the day. The next move, insurance companies are going to refuse to insure these vehicles and people who already own these vehicles, their premiums are going to increase so high to protect the insurance companies of any payouts and it’s going to force the owners to trade in these vehicles quite potentially at a loss.

I'm SO THANKFUL I never upgraded to a Stellantis Jeep! I'm hanging on to my 2017 FCA Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. 43k miles, & did great off road. Buying anything these days is such a gamble from this iconic brand 😮

If you have the hemi, be ready for the hemi tick at 100k to 130k miles. I had a grand Cherokee and at 132k mile the motor went to crap. $10k plus to replace and it was no longer under warranty. All maintenance done properly and on time. That's the last time I'll purchase a Jeep regardless of the owner.

A friend of mine has a friend who had a second gen Chevy S-10 Blazer, and his Blazer randomly decided to burst into flames while he was drivin’ it. Luckily he survived and nothing happened to him. But the car was done

Pretty sure I will never own or drive an EV. My only thought is what if you park next to one or in close proximity and it spontaneously burst into flames, going to be aware of surrounding cars when parking.

This is definitely not going to help Stellantis with its EV launches. At least the Jeep Liberty I used to have needed to be rear-ended before it caught on fire.🔥(Due to fuel tank potentially rupturing because it was between rear axle and rear bumper)🔥.

really ? 9 out of 781,ooo vehicles ? Hmmm? I always have a fire extinguisher in my vehicle anyhow, and first aid kit. yeah , I'll wait and see if the lawyers are just chasing cash. I have 2021 Gladiator Mojave and that thing have been great. But I don't abuse the shit out of it either. Sell it if you don't like your jeeps. Mine don't leak fuel. Its pretty easy to check under the hood, Engine cover removes very easy. I don't want to say fear monger but,,, I guess if you always worked on your own vehicles you kind of feel comfortable around them, and I do I also have a 98 Jeep wrangler TJ, 134k miles, straight six, excellent little grocery getter and snow rambler. I don't own battery cars or hybrids, Nope. Pass. wait and see here, If I do get a fire, I will be sure to post. best regards, chuck

I will say this and STAND Firmly. I have been building and working on vehicles close to 40 years. An the current designs and actually produced product, leaves one asking what idiot thought this up. It seems all the manufacturer’s are having problems. I know DarkHorse has had some fire issues and Toyota Corolla GR too. I don’t understand the quality and safety issues that are plaguing the auto industry. They sure do cost enough that these issues shouldn’t be a topic.
