It’s nice to see an old Jeep still on the road. It’s really a shame at Chrysler has done to the new ones.

Might consider showing the part when you replaced the cylinder since that's what the video is called.

Exactly. It’s like magic it’s on! That’s the most complicated part in most cases.

You can bleed the air out at the master cylinder brake line connectors. Just tighten and untighten them as the someone holds and lets up on the pedal per lots of yelling.

yelling works best LOL

Nice work on the brakes Dave. I'm off point here but a friend in NY is looking for a 1999 -2004 Grand Cherokee 4x4. Rust free, 4.0 is the preferred motor around 150,000 miles or less. He has $4000 for the right Jeep. If you know of any let me know. That would be great.

I converted my 76 cj7 jeep manual drum brakes to power disc brakes (brake conversion kit off ebay) and a YJ booster and mc with proportion valve off a YJ wrangler. I had to lower the brake pedal as the piston rod was too long and didn't match up with the brake pedal. Problem is, I have soft brakes. If I pump the brakes, it gets harder and I eventually stop. Brakes are always the same. Soft until I pump. Then hardens up and I stop.. Scary.. Any idea what is wrong? Also~~Can I adjust the piston rod to shorten it so the pedal won't be so low and would that fix the soft pedal issue? Thanks for the video... Not only educational but also funny... PS... I am a girl.. 😏
@RedneckGarage3 жыл бұрын
Gosh just saw your comment CJ :) Possibly a longer rod - vacuum good ? bled out well ? you may already have it fixed LOL
@cj7girl2803 жыл бұрын
@@RedneckGarage Hi, Thanks for the response. Yes, I already fixed the issue. The master cylinder didn't have the "bullet" spacer. I didn't know I needed one until I purchased a brand new brake booster assembly kit and saw that they both had the same deep mc plunger. Only difference is that the new system had the bullet. 😬 Expensive and time consuming lesson but, at least I have new brakes that work. And, I know more about the brakes. 😊
