They're afraid from TOYOTA, in our country middle east, Saudi Arabia the only seceded & reliable car against our tough terrain and extremely hottest climate in the world, are two 4x4 cars Toyota land cruiser series and Nissan patrol series cars. Jeeb cars design is fantastic and good as a brand new cars, but it won't last longer without facing lots of issues, specially the engine heat, cardan shift and differential gear issues.. Toyota in brief, is the best, just filling gas, do regular oil changes and changing brake pads.. That's set! and will keep going long after 250,000 miles and beyond with city and off road driving..
@mr.intensity26855 жыл бұрын
@@fahadaalmansour OK, assuming that the 3.6 Pentastar V-6 is a better, more reliable engine than the 3.9 Magnum V-6 than there should be no worries. I have the 3.9 Magnum V-6 in my Dodge Dakota and I have 269K and counting.

@@mr.intensity2685 now put those miles on it in the middle east. Different story. The Dakota wont cut it.

@@Billy28376 the middle east has a few different biomes so temperature, humidity and terrain aren't uniform across the area. In the dry and deserty areas the dakota would be a beast.

@@fahadaalmansourI 100% agree. Here in Australia the Toyota Land Cruiser has been the pinnacle of 4x4 excellence. Capable of dealing with the harsh Australian conditions. It would be amazing if the Land Cruiser 70 series could be converted in this way. Expanding on an already built for purpose 4x4 platform.

Not only is it cool - its functional. A cab forward 4x4 ute (pick up)- more cargo area, less overall length. There is a massive hole in the market for this. I for one would buy one for sure. Where do i sign the petition?

"It’s about as fast as a regular ’12 Jeep Wrangler. The portal boxes on the ends of the axles offer a 1.5:1 reduction in addition to the ring-and-pinion ratio. This results in available axle ratios that can range from 5.31:1 to 7.17:1. With the 40-inch tires on the FC concept these ratios are acceptable for highway speeds." -John Cappa

Shame this FC never made it further than the concept stage. What a great truck! Much better use of the Wrangler footprint with regard to space, and the break-over angles are phenomenal. I suspect collision/safety regulations prevented them from making an FC like this, but they should have. If I had the resources, I'd start a company doing aftermarket conversions of Wranglers to FCs. How does it do in front end crash tests. If a forward control can be made, I would say update the rear engine Chevrolet 95 rampside. The rear engine could offer a lot of balance for a pickup; a two wheel drive would still be able to go trough water runs and climb hills. The ramp would make it easy to load with a dolly or forklift, and for most loads you want the weight in the middle, while you would still have an 8' bed to load most long building materials. The engine is easier to access than most forward controls. A 6 cylender boxer is well balanced or if height isn't an issue try making a roots style opposed engine.

That would be so popular. A capable 4x4 that you could slap a lightweight camper on. Even carry the camper to the area you are going to be crawling & take the camper off. A pickup is the only current option for carrying a camper & a pickup isn't a great off-road,low speed platform. That still isn't perfect but it's a huge improvement over current options.
