i now have a chip and mine and with the esp botten off i get about 40 with the chip and 10more from the royla purple oil i use and of couse the k&n air filter

Lol ouch =P. ya need to get up to date my man. they make CVT trans for alot of things for example :D. my 2007 x-8 49cc mini bike with CVT transmission has it they make them for cars, jeeps, minibikes, dunebuggy's. You name it they can make it =) lol. nice vid btw

turn off the traction control.. BUT DO THIS I HAVE A 2007 !!! I DONT KNOW IF THIS WILL DO IT ON THE NEW ONES!!!! HOLD DOWN traction control FOR 4 SEC'S UNTILL THE LIGHTS FLASH AND U HEAR A BEEP IN THE DASH THIS WILL GIVE THE CAR MORE POWER BYE 30 - 48% I FOUND THIS OUT ON AXEDINT AND I LOOKED IN THE MANEWELL AND THERES NOTTING THAT COVERS THIS I KNOW IT SOUNDS CRAZY BUT TRY IT IF U THINK THIS WORKED FOR YOUR CAR SEND ME A COMMENT BACK THANKS:)

Comfort and noisiness are a product of the Commander's design and intentions, to be capable off-road. It seems like most arguments in the European/Asian v. American automakers debate employ "oranges and apples" type juxtapositions. If American quality is so poor, and their design so off base, then why have the vast majority of foreign automakers, from Benz to Toyota, been so influenced by American design?

I completely understand your argument pertains to dependability. My point is that American automakers are, in my opinion, held to different standards than foreign ones. This is not to say that they are indeed superior, as the different levels of par do not necessarily even pertain to quality or craftsmanship. Moreover, I have never experienced such 'lack of dependability' with any of my domestic vehicles and ultimately believe that longevity is a product of owner care It's too short to be clear

I got my jeep patriot 0-60 in 8.2 seconds.. I used a professional piece of equipment to count for me, and I managed to get 8.2, but I think I can do better if I turn off the traction control..

Well perhaps your government is the problem, not Jeep, or "American POS" as you so eloquently put it. Perhaps your over-taxation is to blame. We enjoy low fuel prices as well, the real problem here.
