Here's a couple tips from an experienced detailer for buffing paint. 1. Always use the *least* aggressive method available. Give it a few passes and see what you get. You want to leave as much paint as possible. 2. Pay attention to the temperature of the paint. If it's getting too hot to touch, it's time to move somewhere else before you burn the paint. 3. If you had to use a more aggressive pad or polish, only polish until it's about 90% of the result you want. That gives you room to use your finishing pad/polish to get a clearer finish while leaving maximum paint. 4. Use a DA, or dual action *polisher*. Your grinder is definitely not a polisher. It's significantly easier to burn through the paint with that sun gear, it's a lot easier to leave holograms too. It also doesn't let you adjust the speed generally. 5. Put your pad *on* the before you start it spinning. Start on the lowest speed until you spread the compound over the entire area, then speed it up. Don't lift your pad until the pad has stopped spinning. Lifting to buff it more "softly" is just going to screw up your work. 6. Higher speeds mean faster cutting, and faster heating. Medium-high is usually fine. 7. When polishing heavily oxidized paint and/or stickers start with the "mow down technique". Do two passes at high speed, both on the pad and with your arms. That will remove most of the dead paint, clean your pad before you continue, and clean it often as long as it's looking oxidized or when your on/near stickers. Both situations cause a lot of debris that not only clogs your pad, which slows the cut, but can cause new scratches, and that's what you're trying to get rid of, isn't it? 8. Clean, or change, your pad often. An air blaster will clean them off fast and well.

I really love this series. Both Jeeps are coming out really cool. I've had three Jeep wranglers. My stance on Jeeps continues to be they are cool but only for the rich lol. You've got to spend a fortune buying the Jeep and then you spend even more money making them capable. My 96 Eddie Bauer Bronco would go places in two-wheel drive my Jeep Wranglers would get stuck. But, nothing gets a cute girl to the gym as stylish as a Jeep wrangler. That's pretty much where they belong. I love the show and I love the host. I don't know where he finds the energy to do all these projects but I'm so glad he does. It gives me something very fun to watch after a long hard day.

Just love how all the diesel truck guys think a six speed transmission isn't enough. And what was that Stacey said about the five speed being plenty for a weekend warrior? I'm sure when those ten speed automatics tear up and they have to replace or rebuild and they see the price........
