I love the stick and boo 4cyl but I have an XJ 96 lift and its the inline 6 so I am already spoiled. I have owned three XJs and I am wanting to drive a rubicon, TJ or YJ just to see if they are as cool since I cannot get the XJ for much longer in a newer body style since the rounded body is not the same to me. I want rugged jeepsters and I may cross over the jeeps to the real jeep and want to know if its worth it> because I am a Jeep girl and once you go jeep you don't go back, just forward beyond where the pavement ends. That is where I am at...

Now that Motor Trend started the subscription service these videos are really disappointing. I get it... Video production cost money, but make the vendors who supply the products featured pay, sell some ad time during the video or let the views donate directly to the shows they like.

I think some of these commenters are forgetting what these Dirt Every Day Extra videos are all about. These aren't full episodes. These are EXTRAS. Similar to the extra behind the scenes footage you used to get on DVDs.

Fred please explain to us diesel jeepers the difference between the Cummins 2.8 in tube sock and the VM motori 2.8 out of the crd libbys. if you are aware of any cause I can dyno my libby and put down 230 hp and about 400lbft out of a tuned and k&n filtered crd cause I'm a little shocked that cummings only makes 170hp and 270lbft ?

Its not a cj2, its a wrangler (maybe if you count the frame), or maybe just an aftermarket Frankenstein. Cool vehicle, but really not a jeep. On the other hand, tubesock is a genuine jeep.

Mark Harvey Because it's only a 2.8 and stock. At that power level it should run for a long long time even being pushed hard. You could probably make double that power pretty easy, but then it wouldn't last.
