I love my 2003 tj with 33 3 inch left and daily driver also. I go any where with it. Snow is a freaking blast. I had a bmw m5 I would not trade my tj for 10 of them.

Wow . . simply awesome !! I went through a scene like that . . soft snow falling on a turning path. But the snow was nowhere as deep, or the road so steep. My friends where asleep as I cut a clean path. Remember it clearly. Including the steep drop offs on one side !! So quiet you can hear your heart pounding.

Great video. Playing in the snow is always fun. Being from the PacNW, I know how quickly conditions can change in just a very, very short distance. I've never been to a part of this country where just a little elevation change makes such a huge difference.

I was doing this with 9 psi in the tires of my Unimog 404S , 1962 , 90hp , 16" of groung clearance ; lots of fun ! :-) I now a Liberty DIESEL stock and not even dreaming about doing the same ! Keep Jeeping ! :-) Thanks for sharing !

never had any issues with overheating on the engine... transmission is also has an added cooler up in the front.

The Jeep is a TJ Rubicon, 2003 to 2006. The axels have electric lockers that power both wheels, no slippage. Awesome video!

Im stil prety green to the jeep family but wanting to get out there. I bought my 97 wrangler TJ 4 months ago and only had it in the trail/mud once im stil hopng to get her out in the snow once. this is a great video kep them coming.

From Texas... Only drove my Camaro z28 in Illinois snow during my time in the Navy. Never got a chance to drive my crawler in that stuff. A shame, it looks fun and looks like I'd be less likely to break anything other than a drive! Really pretty trail in your video. 😮👍🏼👍🏼

Before I bought my TJ Rubi two years ago, I looked for videos of them off road to see what they were made of. This one was the icing on the cake. I cant but agree on the momentum part., snow or sand, momentum is your friend for sure. In case of that day, earlier in the day, snow was dry and fluffy, it didnt take much for it to start packing up pretty well. In our area, we dont get too cold of temps to get the snow to form like sand, unless its the crystallized version of it when its more like sugar after long dry spell and colder temps... I have a 97'. I'm new to the whole snow/mud treading. Could you tell me why you lowered the air in your tires?

lower tire pressure equals to greater size of the footprint, thus you can "float" better over the snow, obviously depending on the tire size and overall ground/snow/mud conditions... also, while lowering your tire pressure, you can run the risk of "loosing" bead on your tire from the rim, thus why I'm using wheels that are "beadlocked", allowing me to drop tire air pressure as low as I wanted. All of this is on "google" and on Jeep Forums, I suggest you read up and get acquainted with terms and options...

I was in a similar situation some years back in my 04 Rubicon. I was doing good then all of sudden I fell through the crusty layer under the fresh powder. I was able to get out only after busting the Dana 44 from beating it hard core. Unfortunately I did not have a winch otherwise I would have had no broken parts.

deep snow such as this requires flotation/larger foot print, chains restrict tire ballooning, thus you wont see me running around chains in any case
