Oh my good Lord sir! I wish you had my tiny double jointed hands because I was able to remove mine in one shot! If we were neighbors I would love to come work for you! All the mechanics in the Air Force loved me because there wasn't much I couldn't reach! Thank you so much for your videos they are helping me keep my pain in the butt going. I appreciate you sir!!!

After you changed the thermostat and water pump, is changing the temp sensor resolved your problem of high temp?

This Jeep is still running well. It's my Brothers and I have done all the work outside of warranty lifters. These 3.6 Pentastars do run a little hotter than most engines from my experience. Check out the playlist on Jeeps if you haven't already and thanks for watching.

what is the sensor called at the bottom side of the engine next to the coolant hose? it only has 1 wire on it. Is that a temp sensor too? I know there is one on the thermostat housing with 2 wires on it.

Not sure what you are looking at. I would have to see it to be sure.

What code was for the cooling sensor ? I’m having a p1622 code for my 2014 Jeep jk
@HotRodDave3 күн бұрын
I think 1622 is 02 sensor code
@HotRodDave3 күн бұрын
I don't remember the code or if it even had one for coolant sensor. I would have to go back and look at the video.

Is it paramount to disengage the battery before working on the temp sensor?
@HotRodDave3 ай бұрын
@jordanclarke4105 by the book yes. Would I personally no. You have to make that decision.

3.8 is much easier to work on in many ways. Too bad they are dogs compared to the 3.6

Yup yup yup I am sure you have very large man hands they call them I guess however I manufactured aircraft parts most of my life many other things as well and military operations specialist.. not trying to boast anything here I never had no money or anything that would resemble a life but I just know things now this was extremely difficult to accomplish as the man states that being said my small but large skinny I guess hands very very carefully I was able to wipe off the plug with paper towel then using long needle nose pliers as aid in my other hand. Carefully get it unlocked then with same I was able to get plug off now this was not easy and I did it slowly then I took my 3 4 ths socket guided it onto and using a swivel the unit sensor removing it then I carefully taped the outside of the part inside the socket so as not to cross over the parts washer then I guided the part carefully into position and then using my bare hands carefully twisted it until it began to thread into place then lightened it down this process was very excruciating but then I was able to replace plug and locked it this took took a very long time as I just got over being very sick with multiple ailets I was able to use this much patience I am sorry that your being a large man had so much trouble but I am just for every man it is all different I keep an open mind for all people and things as best as I can sir best of luck it is all good unless it is bad thank you and as always have a great day.

Of course they hid the CTS! Why would they make it easy to replace! God forbid they mount it on or near the upper rad neck!?
