I might be wrong, but if you place the radiator dropdown brackets behind instead in front of the radiator, you wouldn't need to add spacers.

i see you have an original suspension lift dont you? im wanting to add a 1 in. body lift along with my 2 in. suspension lift and alot of people raise engine with 1 in. blocks and or drop the belly pan,but if raising the body dropping pan shouldnt be an issue should it? and i have an adams drive shaft and rear upper adjustable control arm but im wondering about your shifter,steering shaft and any other cables you may have had any problems with.You did great job for sure.Also does all steering work good since you raisded body.? Thank you ahead of time for any tips you can help me with, cause i have replac3d axles shocks,2 in lift and so much stuff.Id like it to go smooth and not keep me tied up for a month.Again great job and jeep looks great!!!

Thanks for watching, this jeep actually has a sagging 4” lift it’s an older Frankenstein lift but still good to go! The 1” body lift is great I personally did it to give my rock sliders a small gap between the frame and tub! There are a couple ways to do body lifts , you’ll have to find out what’s best for you! A couple things to consider when doing a tub lift is to know if you have a t case drop. Most of the time it’s not a good idea to separate the tub even further away from the frame (skid plate) creating a slew of additional problems. in my situation I don’t have a t-case drop. The idea is the keep the drive train level if possible. Now some kits offer a 1” engine mount lift and some offer what I have a radiator drop and tcase linkage drop, to correct these geometry issues. So depending on which kit you go with they will offer you options to compensate for the 1” separation. Which one is the best? Not entirely sure because I’ve never used the engine mount lift. But I wouldn’t believe it’s best to raise the engine away from “level” . Whichever kit you do decide to go with I’m sure it will be designed correct any issues in its own way. That’s my understanding they do the same job. And yes all the steering has been good and seems fine! Haven’t had any issues and so far seems like a good kit! Cheers

@@ATEMOFFROAD after thinking about it i see motor bolts to frame,DUH .so i wouldnt need to move motor unless i didnt move radiator.I would either move rad. or shroud and wouldnt need to move skid down.it will stay samr as frame,another duh.lol , but the shifter and brake lines and wiring and especially linkage to transfer case would be a biggie.Ive looked at a few and ill go back and get the brand name you have and look it up cause some seem way more than an inch although you remove old rubber too.But my rubber looks good so ill see.Thanks for the reply.Great work and i so appreciate you responding very much.Good luck with everything.Thanks Rob

@@robertpc100 tho only other reason why most people go with engine mount lift is to correct drive line angles, and that is not and issue for you because you have a double Cardon driveshaft. The link to the kit I use is in the video description box. You can also try eBay ! Cheers

Bonjour from Quebec. I have TJ 2003 and I want to do a body lift in order to put 35 inches tires using 1.75 inches hub spacer. Do you thing it will work? Merci
@ATEMOFFROAD
@ATEMOFFROAD 3 жыл бұрын
💥 Bonjour! nice, thanks for watching, the 35”s will be tight and you won’t get much travel but will fit, any off-road? install the 1” plus min of 3” suspension lift! With out the suspension lift the jeep Will have a nice stance but no travel in the wheel well! For the 1.75” spacers I recommend minimum at least encentric spacers for safety! And the clearance for those to get a full turn radius will all depend on what wheels you have in combination to the tires and spacers, knowing wheel backspace and offset will get you the answers you need. Merci!

Do you still have to lower the transfer case shifter if you do the motor mount lift at the same time?
@ATEMOFFROAD
@ATEMOFFROAD 3 жыл бұрын
💥 I think you would still have to make some kind of adjustment with trans linkage because the body lift 1-2” and angle of the way the engine/ trans will sit, raising the engine instead of lowering the radiator is ok to get clearance with fan shroud but I would definitely consider angles being changed throughout the drivetrain al the way back to the driveshaft/ diff. But I haven’t done the motor Mount lift so I can’t exactly be sure! I’m hoping someone in the comments who may have done this will see your question and chime in. Thanks for watching! I appreciate it!

@@ATEMOFFROAD I actually already have a 3 inch BL (that came with the jeep) but I don't like the look of it lol. I'm lowerering it to the 1.25 BL and at the same time I'm doing new Brown Dog motor mounts. Just trying to get an idea of what to expect. I'm thinking I'll have to adjust my linkage after.

Id say about 3.5 -4 hours for the first timers, 2-2.5 for a guy who’s done it before and that’s with no problems along the way. I ran into some issue with the fan shroud and the alignment of the two back bolts near the gas tank.
