Little trick, put wires on winch before laying it down on base plate.

Do you happened to know if a smittybilt stinger bumper will get in the way of this set up? Or can I install it just fine?

@@ATEMOFFROAD I’m using my stock bumper and I have the smittybilt stinger on it. I’m wondering if i can use this same winch you have and still keep my stinger bumper or do I have to remove it in order for the winch to fit?

@@eddyrivera7287 I would think it will all fit, but I’ve never seen those stingers that bolt to the factory bumper before! Good luck buddy

The small black wire.. where does it connect inside the control box?
@ATEMOFFROAD Жыл бұрын
The small black wire with the eyelet on the end goes on the motor on the bottom

@@ATEMOFFROAD correct, but where is the other end inside the control box?
@ATEMOFFROAD Жыл бұрын
@@derrickarchibeque8942 that black wires is the ground wire for the wireless controls , it goes with the black wire that comes out of the wireless control box and should land on a coil contact then lands on the ground contact of the motor same pole as the heave ground cable fork the battery

Dielectric grease is an insulator… don’t use it on electrical connections themselves like how you rubbed it all over the connector before putting it on. Great idea to use the stuff since it helps prevent corrosion. However, use it on the outside of the connection only! Lol
@ATEMOFFROAD2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing 🍻 you are correct I should have mentioned this better , best to not put it on the conductive side of the terminal and ok for the rest. It’s been fine so far no corrosion and winch still good as new, just checked it, that was lousy on my part.
@gdavis85882 жыл бұрын
Use a product called No-Ox-Id or just No ox. It prevents corrosion but also conducts. I used to put it on giant battery strings in telephone offices. Electricians use it on aluminum cable. You can usually find it in electrical sections of hardware stores.
