I cannot tell you how many times I have broken something that would have either derailed me in a big way or cost a fortune to replace, but because of the wall of shame parts department, I had the part and could move right on. If you are going to be a functioning addict of 20-year-old Jeeps, a parts department just makes sense!

Thanks once again for your awesome video(s) Dan - I find yours the most informative on KZbin particularly on the ZJ’s (mine’s a ZJ) and highly appreciate your nice clean style of presentation that we can enjoy even with the kids watching. Hope that these inspiring videos will help keep the ZJ’s on the road for another 20 years - and out of the wreckers and landfill sites. I plan on doing your headlight bulb conversion soon. The stock fog lights on the ZJ's are pretty good. I actually drove about 35 miles one night with just the fog lights on I was about 3 miles from home and got pulled over for not having my headlights on. The cop asked where I was coming from and headed. I told her that I had driven from a town about 35 miles away and was headed home, she says dang that's pretty good for not having the headlights on the whole way LOL. I said well I guess the fog light bulbs must work pretty well as I didn't even notice that I didn't turn my headlights back on after leaving a gas station heading back home LOL. Trouble is if you get the fog lights too bright then it defeats the point of fog lights, they should be a little dimmer to keep from bouncing the light off the fog right back at you. I have a cracked lens on one of my fog lights and haven't yet made it over to a pick a part to get a replacement lamp assembly. I also need a replacement driver door interior panel as the armrest on that panel in my 98 ZJ looks like the one on your's, pretty torn up LOL. I've got a list not only for my 98 ZJ but for my 88 Ford Bronco 2 as well, I just haven't really felt like doing much most of this year for some reason. I get home from work and don't want and feel like doing anything, and on my days off I just want to stay home and not do anything. Pretty much the end of the pick a part season, weather is getting colder and I hate trying to wrench on stuff in the cold. In the summer the wasps and hornets are so bad I typically never go during the summer either LOL.

@@ProjectDanH They get blasted by everything, and water if you drive through deep water you end up with water logged fog lights LOL. My 96 ZJ and my current 98 ZJ both had/have factory fog lights. After a moron volunteer firefighter with dismal driving skills took the front plastic bumper cover off my 96 ZJ I had an ARB bumper put on, as a result the factory fog lights were no longer usable...I did manage to lengthen the wiring and plug them back in and mounted them on the bumper...seemed to work ok though.

Lights look identical to those I bought from Parts Geek to install on my XJ,my 01 XJ did not have the fog light option it was a complete wiring project with a 3 switch panel I bought on eBay,relay and wire.....had to have em!

The XJ and ZJ Fog lights are almost Identical. Im so glad you used the OEM 3 switch panel when wiring up own fog lights, That's exactly how i would do it!

Hey Dan H I got a new one for you I changed out my factory fog lights with new aftermarket ones an now when I turn them on my speedometer goes crazy an my engine revs up. I hooked them into factory wires an to my surprise the factory wires was not the same hook ups on jeep drivers side was gray an passenger side was black an a waterproof an newer version

Hi Dan I have a 97 jeep grand cherokee laredo. When I go out anywhere. And I turn off the vehicle go in the store. Comes back out it hesitates to start. So I have to Waite for the car to cool down then it will start. I tried wrapping the fuel injectors with spark plug boot protector. No help. Can you help?

I've never had heat soak not allow a restart... heat soak problems usually will allow a start, but make the jeep run rough.

i have a question is the bulb under the headlights just a turn signal bulb? is it not a marker light? i know the 194 bulbs are marker lights

you are correct, the bulbs under the lights are round socket turn signals from 93-95 and then plug in style connectors from 96-98
