I think it was the creeper who sabotaged the post puncher, to get the family to turn on each other. Noticed how he's hanging there, not just to catch his next victim, but to enjoy a little bit of his favorite show "Family Fights."

Onw little detail I like is the father and brother are working on their post puncher and truck both of which are used to make the harpoon truck later in the movie.

Saw this movie with my dad and my best friend when I was 6. Absolutely scared the shit out of me cause my dad said billy reminded him of me . My friend started crying and told his mom on my dad for letting him see this movie with me lol my dads gone but still best fiends with same guy always will be classic scary movie for me

I remember going to the movies to see this with my parents. I was 11. This scene in particular freaked me out then and it still gets to me now. Very Good opening to a horror film!!

This is why I hate cornfields to be honest. But anyone notice that Billy turned his head before the creeper could turn his back that's when you get the hell outta there also why would you walk towards it.

I also am very disappointed in it but since 3 and the reboot were really terrible and were kind of not that much of a global hit I feel like they could do a continuation of 1 and 2 with a origin story of jeepers creepers because in the 2nd movie their is a deleted scene where you see a dead knight that is nothing more then skull and bones so either that was him killing them since that Era or perhaps he was once human and made a deal or was transformed into what he is

No it was more purposeful for his face not to e revealed yet they wanted his face to be shadowed for a while to give it a certain feel
