So the first movie is still the best as I called it. The first movie definitely had something special. You actually cared about the protagonists. They had great character development. The creeper was basically a mystery until the middle of the movie when you see what he actually is. The atmosphere alone and the suspense in that film are perfectly portrayed. The scene where Darry and Trish see the creeper dumping bodies down the pipe is excellent and creepy. We as an audience are experiencing what they are seeing for the first time in their point of view. Everything about the first movie is absolutely brilliant

I think the difference from the 1st two to the latest two are you don’t actually see what the creeper is doing in the first 2. Like he doesn’t get his own solo scenes of what he’s up to. He only shows up when others are on screen so that helps maintain the mystery. Also just the fact the first two mainly take place in the dark and when he is in the light you can’t see his face. That’s what makes him scary.

Part 3 gave us cool feats from the Creeper and its Truck. That was it. They teased the Creeper's origins through two characters just for one to die and the other to never review it. This movie was going to lead up to a 4th film that would've or should've been the grand Finale. Regardless of what we say or think about the original creator and director, the story he gave us is what we enjoyed. Sucks that they couldn't do a proper sequel to end the series.

I think Part 3 will be decent if it had a proper budget, because some of those effects and lightings doesn't have the same vibe like the first two films that's why it looks off. For example the slow mo gatling gun scene doesn't feels like a scene that belongs in a Jeepers Creepers movie. It looks like B-Movie Superhero film.

In all honesty, the biggest injustice is the recasting of the Creeper instead of bringing back Johnathan Breck. Dude really made the character his own with the animalistic mannerisms and stalking, and it did not feel like the new guy was trying to capture that magic at all. For instance and this is me ranting, there's a scene in this new movie where the creeper loses his eyes and rather than using his sense of smell to find the person he's chasing, he just flails his arms around reaching around him.

Well the reality of it is they had to get away from the stigma of Victor because of his pedo Background unfortunately. Breck while not apart of that was apart of victors series of films and they decided when taking over the films that when they where gonna erase his name from it they would erase everything to do with him. So we get what we get. It's either a film made by a pedo and have controversy surrounding it constantly or a new film trilogy we can enjoy without that stigma...

Just watched the movie last night, everything you said is true. Not only was it one of the worst movies i've even seen in theaters, the $15 ticket price just solidified the sour taste in my mouth coming out of it. The scariest part of my night was admitting that I would pay that same $15 to watch the franchise killing 3rd installment and be content. Victor Salva may not have been a good man but his directing was far superior. It's sad to say but I believe this franchise is beyond saving at this point!

This movie was just abysmal-coming from a huge fan of the first two movies. The creeper has always been my favorite movie monster. The implied lore behind it and it’s abilities…so engaging. The portrayal, mannerisms and it’s ability to hunt terrified me as a kid. It made you think “oh god, what if I have something it wants?” My biggest faults for where this franchise has gone as of late is that the portrayal of the Creeper is absolutely horrendous. And they keep introducing these B plots. NO, I don’t think everyone suddenly knows about the Creeper. A cult? Sure? But I feel like that implies they can just bring it whoever. They act smug and powerful when really I would expect it to be terrified townsfolk who pray it doesn’t eat one of them! The implications that a cult that can just FEED it, and be in control of it existing is so boring. It hunts and plays with his food because it needs them to be scared to smell their fear. It takes what it needs, not just to eat what it wants. And that’s how it stays alive, it doesn’t need to be reborn into some stupid new baby body. “It has eaten so many hearts I don’t think it can be killed anymore” a rough quote from the first movie. Good lord. It’s like the people in charge of this film didn’t even watch the first two at ALL. Secondly, the Creeper dresses like a man so it can blend in. Yes, it doesn’t sound like a human but was the mundane asthma huffing (was the mask hard for the actor to hold up on his shoulders??) and cheesy growling necessary? It just took me so out of it. It is highly intelligent and relies on its sense of smell. I don’t understand why when it’s eyes were stabbed out why it flailed it’s arms like an idiot. In the first movie it’s all but blind because the eyes it uses are so old. But that didn’t slow him down much. And don’t even get started on it’s obsession with the song. ALSO not how it works. Can they just respect the entity and not try to ruin everything that made it such a cool monster? They have butchered The Creeper, and he’s dead. And I kind wish he’d stay dead at this point.

I still think a lot of the reason the film turned out the way it did is because of the Myriad Lawsuit against screenmedia. Screen media is a terrible company for any film to be apart of and Myriad is suing them because they claim that they weren’t told or notified of the production, and we’re not apart of any of it in any form. They also claim the distribution rights were sold to screen media without there permission. So if this was the case then that would explain why this movie tuned out to be what it was. And it’s bad enough they gave it to a director who talks way more crap about other people’s movies and says what they do or don’t have. Well now he shouldn’t be talking but overall I guarantee if Myriad was involved they would have brought Breck back and a majority of the OG production team from the 3 films

The first two were brilliant! Especially the second one where he’s terrorizing those school kids. And they way he just flies away and keeps coming back to attack them relentlessly. Then the scene where he’s sniffing them out to see who he wanted to eat genuinely scared me and him licking the window gave a sexual element to it that really creeped me out. That was revolting! I like how the father nailed him three times with the Harpoon and yet it still didn’t kill him. In the end it retreated into a Cocoon like an Insect! I would have poured gasoline on him and lit him on fire! And I wish they brought back the Sister to get her revenge on the Creeper for killing her brother. But they forgot about that idea, too! Terrible!

Actually if I recall properly I think they already explored the Jeepers creepers being able to heal itself by eating the particular body part it needs in jeepers creepers 2. It was in the bus scene when the speared part of his head and so he ate a teacher’s (or student’s I can’t remember which one) head and got a brand new head. Wow I was really looking forward to this movie and had high hopes. Just like you I grew up loving the first 2 jeepers creepers movies. I used to always be so terrified of the 1st one.

The physic lady explained in the first one how it was able to heal itself from eating certain body’s parts to replace the ones that had gotten damaged… like when they kept running over him with the the car and he went to the jail and he was eating on the inmates to repair himself which no different from the head scene from on top of the bus … it was morely the first one that already showed us that he could replace his body parts the 2nd one just showed us he could also repair & replace his head 💁🏽‍♀️

So yeah to recall most of what u said yeah the creepers regeneration solely lies within consuming what it needs from victims like Darry's eyes and Yes when his head got impaired with the javelin which he could have easily removed himself without pulling off half of his head by pulling it out through his eye socket, but I digress man's was agitated and couldn't think logically while having a javelin through his left eye and mutilated himself. The one thing that pissed me off in reborn is his face hood that opens up when he's pissed off because in "reborn" his face hood was used to eat a dudes face and left me like "that's not how that shit works" secondly the hood around his head has to be the real creeper as it can funtion autonomously to bring the new head it stole from the kid on the bus in jeepers 2.

Also to me what also made the Creeper so scary in the first and second movies was that, that the authorities and public know of the creepers horrific doings, but to them the creeper is still a mystery and the only thing they can come up with is that it is a serial killer, but obviously im sure that idea doesnt sit right with anyone but its the only thing they could think of. Similarly the Psychic even with her supernatural abilities really knows nothing about the creeper she calls it a demon because its her best description. And to me its much more horrifying being described as a demon for lack of a better comparison than being an actual demon, since demons are not really mysterious as there is much written about them and I think if it was a demon people could be somewhat relieved if they actually knew what the hell it was. When in reality it is something much worse and even with all the evidence they cannot comprehend what this monstrosity truly is. To summarize, yeah the best part of the creeper is the mystery, and this theme is wonderfully displayed in the early part of the first movie when we see the creeper and his truck. Everything would leave you to believe its a person, but even before we saw the creeper we knew deep down psychologically that whatever was in that truck was not human. And again when we see him throwing the guy down the pipe, he appears human, but instinctually we knew he is not. Its the uncanny valley that creates a high level of stress in the primitive part in our brain. I think the best way to sum up why the creeper is so scary is from the psychic "He disguies himself as a man, but he is not a man". This was probably my favorite line from the movie. That, and "Did you bring a friend with you? Thats not my scarecrow"

She also rich, she was going to team up with the farmer's son and hire a mercenary team to stop the creeper. That plot would have probably been way better than this

I saw the Creeper as Victor Salva's projection of himself. Monster that goes after teenage boys...In Salva's case it was a pre-teen boy, but still. Really makes the subtext of the film disturbing. Lost respect for Francis Ford Coppola when he defended the POS.

The first two were that way because of where the writer/director was in their lives...we all have that dark stage...they use it to tell the story ..look at hellraiser 1 and 2..they took his concept and a studio went ahead and did what was popular and not exactly scary but trending and used the name to make a few bucks and run the franchise into the ground so they don't have to do them anymore..look at hellraiser 5 thru 9.

Exactly. I know 2 gets hated on but I really love it. No, it's not as suspensefull as the first and I felt the creeper is not as mysterious in part 2 as he was in part 1. However, I think they assembled a pretty strong group of teen actors with good infighting between the characters. I also love movies where characters are trapped in one location trying to escape from something.

I LOATHE Salva with every ounce of my being but I will give the devil his due and admit that the ending of JC2 goes so fucking hard. Ray Wise's character was such a badass and the fact we're never going to see how his story resolves is just so unfortunate, especially if this sort of movie is what we get as a consolation prize.

Thanks for saving me the watch on this one. A good plot could be a girl and her boyfriend get a vip package for an overnight giant haunted corn maze. The girl was iffy on the trip because shes recovering from a surgery which was provided by her by a dead kids organ that they had transplanted. Time goes on and they realize through the lore told to them by the locals that jeepers is after the new organ she has. Feeling like she isn't just protecting her own life but what's left of this young dead kid by staying alive and beating Jeepers. Ultimately her boyfriend makes this possible by making the sacrifice play in which jeepers takes because his time is coming up and needs to go back into hibernation with at least some organs to help him through the sleep despite not being the one he was after. Sets up the sequel where the girl is older and hella pissed off wanting vengeance for her boyfriend and jeepers still wanting that organ that was transplanted. I writing this while doing cardio at the gym come on

I watched it for free and was mad lol. The thing they don’t understand is that what made the original scary is the suspense and the helplessness, with some gore sprinkled in. Part 2 was still suspenseful but it was a little campy and funny. 3 was watch in background bad. Reborn was like 4th grader giving a fake book report of the first one when he was supposed to read it over summer break

10:06-10:38 The Creeper did do this before. It did it in both JC 1 & 2. The Creeper can replace body parts whenever it's injured or unusable. In JC1 it did it when they ran his body over several times in a car. It went to the police station they were at and fed on some inmates to regain its damaged body parts. In JC2 The Creeper was impaled through the head that ended up taking a chunk of it's head off. It would later grab a student, decapitate his head, through the damaged head away and through it's body a new head can be seen rising up to the surface.

I used to have nightmares as a kid where I would be outside playing right before dusk and out of nowhere I would see the silhouette of the creeper flying over the tree line. It would eventually change to where I was in a house at night and would catch glimpses of him peaking at me through the window. I still have that one every now and then.
