I’ve watched a few of your videos and they are very helpful to me. I have 95 jeep wrangler with the 4.0 in it. At some point I plan on putting in an all aluminum radiator in it.

I once “welded” a wrench to my radiator. It left a tiny hole when I pried it off. So yes, disconnect the battery!

I wonder if the transmission cooling ports could be used for engine oil cooling? Too much pressure? Maybe?

does the coolant in the orange container eventually get sucked in, or are you just waiting until there are no more bubbles? Great videos as always Dale.
@Chrisw6784 жыл бұрын
Jeff Rayburn there is a plug that you stuff to block it from draining to disconnect.

It sucks in what it needs, then you plug it off Like Wash Machine said 👍 Here's the kit: amzn.to/2w9pRzz

That radiator will not work well in the desert southwest. The plastic tanks subtract cooling, they don't exchange any heat. While you have the radiator out, check the fan clutch. Any dirt buildup on the bi-metal spring means it's leaking and will soon lose calibration.

Plastic tanks?
@JeepSolid4 жыл бұрын
Yeah. some things are not made like they used to..
@herbiesnerd4 жыл бұрын
JeepSolid keep your old one. You can find a place that will recore those original brass tanks. I did that to my old truck a few years ago. The most old school legitimate radiator shop near me stopped doing metal tanks. All plastic. I had to go about 20 miles away but I found a place. Plastic is fast and easy.
@jstutz1014 жыл бұрын
I bet your new radiator doesn’t last as long as the old. Too much plastic these days!
