this concept works great with skilled or partially skilled fighters but without fluidity, this will not work with your brawler street fighter that doesn't understand self-preservation. The beauty of JKD concept is fluidity. It's not the system but the application of the person that makes something work.

Very impressive technique, Sir! IMO, I would only use the eye jab with contact if I felt my life was on the line. I was an instructor for a short while with Tracy's Kenpo back in the day when Joe Lewis was working for them, and we were taught several techniques from Lee using independent motion. Yes, with mastery, you can hit someone like a deer in the headlights.

Bruce practices on a towel and a shower curtain. I love the way Paul Vak used to throw it so I practice his method. It’s not so much a poke going into the eyes like a spear although it can be that I suppose it’s more like your hand is a towel and you’re flicking it like a towel.

It's a jab to the eye's not a gouge to the eye's. They're very different from another. An eye jab is more of a quick poke in the eyes with multiple fingers than gouging a person's eye's out. (So make your finger jab scratch the cornea's eyeball.)
