He gets back into his own when he moves back to 1st - 5th position. Also I would be so nervous to play in front of Bradetich. Also German bow players represent!

Most of us are. This piece is unfathomably hard to intonate well on double bass. I'm struggling hard myself, so it was good to see what kind of hints Bradetich gave.

What a constructive comment. Thanks!

Really, who needs this piece being played on the bass? Is there only one cellist left... or two? No cellists anymore who can play it, so we need it played by bassists? This is so stupid. I play both. I play Bach on the cello and Bottesini on the bass. What's so difficult to get it?
@shanesavage42136 жыл бұрын
Because Bach enhances the bassists technique and opens up the bassists rep because there isn't much bass rep. And plus, why do you have to be so disrespectful? He tried and he played his heart out, and I'll take that any day over your attitude

@kostishasopoulos98165 жыл бұрын
why the attitude? as bassists are we supposed to not touch these tunes ever? tunes like these help bassists get better on their intonation and technique. I'd like to see you upload your version!!! cool down man and get of your horse.

The best version of the 1st, 2nd and 5th suites i've heard have all been played on bass. It's just a different instrument, no need to be such a nazi about it
