A friend of his said that among the many things he wanted to achieve was doing that and i found it ironic cause he was very critical of the Mtv culture. Although it seems like the kind of contradiction he could have had as he struggled a lot with his desire to be a big name in the music bussiness but not be a part of it.

@Patrick Burke true, but jeffs brief time with us ...for me anyway, had the intensity of a full life. Came out of no where, burned so brightly and was gone before we had time to reflect. Jeff going flat singing a couple brief seconds makes me love him even more. He was still super-human both as a vocalist and as a guitarist, but those tiny imperfect bits make it feel just a smidge more like he was at one point an actual human and not just a great mythical creature lol

It’s about time that this get released. Thank you. Please keep them coming, and don’t stop with this show. There are several gigs and promos/interviews out there that were professionally recorded (some of which Sony doesn’t own exclusive rights to, however), as well as Merri Cyr’s 90 hours of footage. I spoke with Ben Challis (head of the Glastonbury festival) and he said that Jeff’s Estate hasn’t even reached out to him about the prospect of acquiring visual licensing for Jeff’s set. There’s a candidate for a future release of some sort; not to mention Trinity Church in Toronto, among many other things.

There's the moon asking to stay Long enough for the clouds to fly me away Well it's my time coming, I'm not afraid, afraid to die My fading voice sings of love But she cries to the clicking of time, oh, time [Chorus] Wait in the fire, wait in the fire Wait in the fire, wait in the fire Fire [Verse 2] And she weeps on my arm Walking to the bright lights in sorrow Oh drink a bit of wine we both might go tomorrow, oh my love And the rain is falling and I believe my time has come It reminds me of the pain I might leave, leave behind [Chorus] Wait in the fire, wait in the fire Wait in the fire, wait in the fire Fire [Bridge] (It reminds me of the pain) I might leave, leave behind And I feel them drown my name So easy to know and forget with this kiss I'm not afraid to go but it goes so slow [Chorus] Wait in the fire, wait in the fire, oh oh yea oh oh oh yeah unh Wait, wait, wait in the fire, wait in the fire Wait in the fire, wait ah uh unh ah

Pure expression of emotion by way of his honed skills and innate talent. 🙌🏼✨ Anyone who’s a singer should study his example of what it actually means to be a real singer....and it’s not about being technically perfect, but to be able to relay the emotional nature of music and telling a story we all can relate to as human beings. Real expression through song is very much about psychology and the ability to act as an instrument for expressing the deeper sides of humanity, life experience and connection. Jeff was excellent at relaying the human condition through sound. Energy in motion - always alive and changing. A real force of nature. Thank you Jeff for having the guts to be yourself and to share with the rest of us. ❤️

Yes so true. His was a beautiful combination of all the elements that makes a great singer. I don't know if I knew what a real singer is until I heard him back in the 90s. I love the depth he takes you to. He's a genius that was born for it for want of a better way of expressing it. I can't adequately express my gratitude for Jeff Buckley and Tim Buckley. I never tire of the extreme beauty of their whole musical delivery it comes from a divine place. God given talent as it's best and truest comes close. God walks in the room when they sing and play. That'll do. Love it craaazy!!!

Non era facile vivere con quella voce, vero Jeff... Un universo roboante su di una minuscola sfera, chissà dove arrivavi quando la voce partiva e l'anima esplodeva, attraverso il tuo corpo, nello spazio tuo intorno...

Seriously, 20 years after falling in love with grace, hearing this from JB still fills me with goosebumps. I’m not the same person I was then, but these things never change ❤️

If you make it into heaven, you'll know, because there will be a diner jukebox. You go, and you see a 45 single. And on it is a Jeff Buckley, Amy Winehouse duet
