The worst things about "Teacherman" (douchey name) is that he pretends "no one was teaching hitting before me". The world's greatest hitter Ted Williams literally wrote a book called The Science of Hitting. Tony Gwynn and Reggie Smith have a lot of great instructional content out there. He also claims legitimacy for saying "all the best hitters do what I teach." No. You're claiming false credit based on something you think and claim those elite athletes have already done. Lastly, if he wan't allowed to namedrop Aaron Judge and cite his contributions to a 6'7" major league player's own incredible ability... "Teacherman's" videos would be half as long.

I LOVE THIS 🤣🤣🤣 the kinetic linking principle states that energy flows through the body in a chain reaction, from the ground up... but schenk throws that right out the window 🪟 and tries to convince people that the WRISTS of all things create the power, and that transferring power through some of the smallest, most intricate parts of the body is somehow most efficient. it's not even that crazy that someone came up with a thought 💭🗑 like that, since feel vs. real is a very prominent concept... what surprises me is that he has an ARMY of devoted and clueless followers 🤯🤣 he's clearly just a business man, and he's built like one too 🍕🍗🍦🤣
@user-qq3ff7hr8u10 ай бұрын
if you try to go from the ground up, each individual body part, your swing will be long and you will have no adjustability. schenk’s philosophy is that the swing should be one move controlled by the back muscles (which are pretty big), which gives you much more adjustability and control than having to do all that kinetic chain crap. he never said the wrists create the power, as the wrists only direct the bat. the power comes from the back muscles tilting the body as the rear leg bursts to accelerate the barrel. if you don’t believe me give it a try
@danielhoward45662 ай бұрын

Your kid isn't going to get to the big leagues just because you're spending big bucks on some "coach". Most of these "coaches" are just lining their pockets at your expense. Why kill your kid's joy for the game by filling his head with a bunch of biomechanical jargon and dubious theories? Let the kids play.

@@Joe_Momma205 Hmmm, interesting logic. Why must the training to do a difficult thing necessarily be complicated? The training for a 10 year old might be different than that for an 18 year old professional. When a 10 year old is in the box and the pitch is delivered, his mind should be clear. It's not the time to be thinking, it's the time to be reacting. It would take me 5 minutes to tell a 10 year old what he needs to know to hit Little League pitching. Bat on shoulder, balanced stance, pointing and hitting up the middle. Don't call balls and strikes. You're the hitter not the umpire. Be aggressive and swing at a pitch you can hit.
