Jeff is simply gifted, don't forget he lost his eyes at 1yr old, he did learn traditional style but preferred to play the guitar on his lap. Take the disability out of the equation, Jeff is still on another level. The man stands up and plays that guitar without a guitar strap, and sits down when he needs to, he has a unique stage sense and knows where he is at all times. Jeff is inspiring, you can do anything that you dedicate yourself too. Jeff and Stevie Ray were great friends and loved playing together, there is also a great video of Jeff playing with Jerry Lee Lewis and Ronnie Hawkins and members of the Band; Massey Hall Toronto 1995. I love the blues and Jeff Healey blows me away. RIP Jeff Healey

Jeff and SRV toured and played a lot together. Cancer took his eyes at 1, Someone put a guitar in his lap at 2. He taught himself to play it like a "steel guitar". Cancer took hiss life 2 weeks before his 42nd birthday, 4 week weeks before his 1st studio album in 11 yrs was released Oh, he was born and died in Toronto Canada and was playing in bars when he was 16 yrs old.

Jeff was given a guitar at a very young age and he couldn't reach the strings so he put it on his lap. He was also in the movie Roadhouse with Patrick Swayze. Unfortunately he passed from cancer when he was in his early 40's.
