@@SalvoG "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", "As the Years Go Passing By - Germany 1995" , and "Look at Little Sister w/ SRV" are songs/videos you've got to react to. Would love to see your reaction to those too. Jeff was in the movie "Road House" with Patrick Swayze which is a great movie to watch!! Jeff was very underappreciated, in my opinion. He's a Legend and one of the best guitarist in the world!! He was also an Incredible Jazz Man (Jeff Healey and The Jazz Wizards), he played trumpet too!! We lost him way too soon! Hope you dive into his catalog. He was Amazing! RIP Jeff.

Loved Jeff Healy and my partner demanded his song “Angel Eyes” be the first dance at our wedding. Once I heard it I agreed and every time we hear it we have to stop and dance around to it. Jeff passed away way too soon. Loved him in the movie Road House. He had immense talent and he did a song with Steve Ray Vaughn called “See Little Sister”. He held his own against SRV and it was awesome.

After listening to something like that, there is nothing left to say. Mouth agape and speechless and I say this as a singer/guitar player/song writer... RIP Jeff Healy. SRV said that his favorite person to jam with out of everyone was Jeff Healy. He said (and I'm paraphrasing here) he felt like he didn't have to compete with or try to impress Jeff. He said they just jammed. No ego just kickass blues... RIP to two of the very best singer/guitar players to ever sing a note or pick up a guitar...

Saw him live at a local high school auditorium in Eugene Oregon. Holy crap. Yeah, I almost crapped my pants. Maybe three to four hundred people there. He just killed it. His second guitarist...I'm sorry, can't remember his name, but he went on to do stuff with other folks, but with Healey, he was awesome, and Jeff gave him a lot of room to shine. Think Jeff was one of the good ones. Very generous, and very humble. Wish I could have talked to him. Dang, when he passed, I just felt a hole in the rock world. RIP Jeff. And thanks man for doing this for him. Oh, after looking, and this is an edit...his other guitar player at the show I saw was Phil Sayce...yeah, great show at a high school. This is where all great artists go...no matter the venue...no matter how many folks are there, you play and sing your ass off. They're here to see you and they paid for that privilege.

I had the pleasure of watching Jeff's band live opening up for Tom Cochrane & Red Rider at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto in the late 80's and he blew the crowd away. Such an amazing talent that was taken from us too soon by the same disease that took his vision when he was an infant. It's really incredible that his disability didn't stop him from pursuing his dreams and passions.

Mid/late '80s, Victoria BC, early evening on a warm summer Thursday: Me and some of the boys headed out to a local meat market / pick up bar that usually had a DJ. (🤭 Hey, I was young, well, late 20s, and there would likely be pretty girls there! 😂). When we arrived, we were perplexed to discover there was a lineup to get in, with posters advertising a live performer (not usual) debuting that night, with praises by the likes of B.B. King and Stevie Ray Vaughan. So, what the hell, we waited in line. Once we got in we sat at a table right by the dance floor, about 15 feet from a two foot raised stage. After ordering our beer, the band came out, obviously guiding a blind guy. My buddies and I kinda looked at each other quizzically. 🤔 They sat him down in a chair onstage, handed him an electric guitar, which he placed on his lap 😯 ... then, when they started to play ... my world changed ... forever. It was Jeff Healey and his band, before their first album came out: I had never heard of him/them before, but he, specifically, had my attention now. He proceeded to play the cleanest, most amazing, unbelievable guitar licks I'd ever heard. He played blues, he played rock, he played country, he even played a bit of what sounded like flamenco. He played Hendrix better than Hendrix, he played with his teeth, he played while literally jumping around blind like a mad man. He seemed to be having a religious experience onstage. Despite it being a dance club, NOBODY danced that night. Every person, patrons and staff alike, stood around, hypnotized, with their mouths agape, staring, hardly believing what they were seeing and hearing. I went back Friday and Saturday, and again three nights the following week, as they were playing a two week gig there. Their first album came out shortly thereafter, and then he was in a movie with Patrick Swayze, and then ... well, I sadly never got to see Jeff Healey perform live again. But I still feel blessed, and I shall never forget how amazing the experience was that first night I saw him play! 😊
