This guy is in his early 70's here and he still sounds great. I'm almost 75 and would love to see one of his shows before I check out.

I watched a vid of Steve Perry the other night. He depends on the crowd to sing the lyrics.

@@BSinNH I'm 63 and saw them in Chicago in 2018, best concert I had ever been to. I hope you get to see them. But beer was so expensive😀😀😀.

Today is exactly 4 years (June 29 2023) since this concert. How the world has turned upside down in that few years. Glad we still have this music to escape the bullshit.

The 70s music will put you on another planet that no one will understand unless you have a love of the 70s music. You don't need drugs or alcohol to appreciate the best music ever. God....take me back to the 70s and leave me there....I'll be just fine.

I was born in 1956 and was there in the 70s. Sorry man but you sound like an old fart. There is a lot of good stuff now, and in all decades inbetween. Why do some old people eulogise the past and slag off the present. You sound like my dad in the 60s who told me the Beatles weren't as good as Perry Como. Me? I like both. Musical snobbery reflects badly on the snob. Open your mind and your ears.

Reminds me of more innocent times...I'd hear this on the radio in my sister's car when she'd come to pick me up after school. I didn't realize how good I had it.

ELO were different when they first appeared on Top of Pops. Jeff Lynn had an idea which built on the Beatles notion of strings classical with pop. I still listen to ELO because they matured with time into a great sound not yesterdays still doing it kind of sound.Glad you appreciate the mood songs.Strange magic Turn to stone. Even telephone line is strangely hauntingly honest. Compare with Doctor Hooks Sylvias mother. Same era.

Same here Ken, they just weren't "cool" in the group I ran with... in short, we were stupid. We didn't like Steely Dan or Earth Wind & Fire either so... 🤪
