From 1976 to this day ELO (Jeff Lynne) has been the best live band i have ever seen and i have seen lots and lots of concerts from legendary bands. I saw ELO in 1976, 1978, 1981, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. I feel very fortunate. I will see them again in 2024.

Nichts bringt die 70er/80er Jahre zurück, die sehr viel gute Musik brachten; dabei ist ELO noch die absolute Ausnahme, weil sie es schafften immer wieder fröhliche Musik zu machen, egal wie der Text auch immer war. Heutzutage hört man mehr Katzenmusik und Gewinsel, das sogar in den Charts landet. Die Jugend heute tut mir richtig leid, dass sie nicht erfahren können, was wirklich gute Musik ist, die gute Laune schafft. Today, there is nothing and no one who could pull something like that off. Nothing brings back the 70s/80s, which brought a lot of good music; ELO is still the absolute exception, because they always managed to make cheerful music, no matter what the lyrics were. Nowadays you hear more cat music and whining that even ends up in the charts. I feel really sorry for young people today that they can't experience what really good music is that creates a good mood.

We went to Jeff Lynne's concert tonight. No one sat down, everyone sang to every song and even dance in open areas. If 5heir goodbye tour comes to town or near you- it is a must, I repeat, MUST SEE! It is an audio and visual orgasm. I don't mean to be crude, but it is! The band has not lost anything. Backup singers and the string orchestra is beautiful and the light show - Wow. Saw him Tuesday night in Phoenix. Best show I've ever seen. I cried at the end of Mr. Blue Sky. ELO has been such a huge part of my life (Out of the Blue was the first album I bought in 1978 at the age of 9). He's only ever wrote one song and then split it into several different songs but if you were to join them all together they would sound like the same song, same chords, same note runs and same rhythm, it's just a format. @@athenasblueprint , Jeff was a huge Beatles fan and friends with George. Jeff never hid the influence. ELO became famous before Queen, no ripoff there. But yes, ELO got lots of hate, I think over their huge success, and partly for being too "poppy".

Saw this band in concert February 6, 1976 at Lane County Fair Grounds, Eugene, OR. Great concert, these guys rocked the house and the lazer show was tops. Met my future wife April 2nd 1976 and this was the first song we danced to together. ELO has been a big part of my life for over 46 years. Keep Rockin!

Ich bin froh in meiner Jugend, mit 17 Jahren, mit dieser Musik aufgewachsen zu sein; es wird kaum etwas geben, was dem auch nur nahekommt und gute Laune macht, wie ELO es immer wieder geschafft hat. Es gab mal eine Fete (ja, so nannte man Partys früher), die ehrlich gesagt richtig lahm war, bis jemand ELO auf den Plattenteller legte und die Stimmung von einer Minute zur anderen um 1000 % verbessert wurde. Das war eine schöne Zeit und möchte sie nicht missen. Würde man mir anbieten noch einmal in die Zeit zurückzukehren, ich würde es tun. Weniger Probleme, mehr Spaß mit guter Musik - das wären es mir ehrlich gesagt noch einmal. Mit den Erfahrungen, die man bis heute gemacht hat, natürlich. ELO 🥰 I am glad to have grown up with this music in my youth, at the age of 17; there will hardly be anything that even comes close to it and puts you in a good mood like ELO has always managed to do. There was once a party (yes, that's what they used to call parties) that was honestly really lame until someone put ELO on the turntable and the mood improved by 1000% from one minute to the next. It was a great time and I wouldn't want to miss it. If I was offered the chance to go back to that time, I would. Fewer problems, more fun with good music - that would honestly be it for me again. With the experiences I've had to date, of course. ELO 🥰

The brilliance of this concert. Is how the age has no borders. From musicians and those in the audience, of a younger generation. I remember so well of the sound of ELO growing up. Jeff Lynn has staying power and the ability of crossing the age barrier . That’s music for you though, isn’t it. Whether he supported the great Roy Orbison or the Traveling Wilburys. Jeff has the ability to unite through music.
