You may notice the kick pattern sometimes lands on the snare drum and is played at the same time, especially if it locks in with the bass line. It’s one of my favorite things about his playing and something I also love to emulate. Thanks Jeff! Good Jobb Cobb😃 Jeff was a Hall of Fame Drummer but also a nice man. My friend and me were at NAMM 88 and Jeff performed a clinic at the Paiste booth with His brother Mike and a keyboardist The small room was packed and we just sat right next to Jeff by his left side. We could reach out and touch his hi hat….soon a rep came by and said we had to move. I was bummed because the room was so packed we would basically have to leave. But then a voice out of nowhere said “its OK, they're fine right there, wont bother me “ Of course it was Jeff, the Paiste rep walked off and we had front row seats to watch one of our favorite drummers of all time RIP Jeff

Nice. If ever there was a drummer to emulate, it's Jeff. I love all of the greats but for solid pocket groove, the kind that gets you gigs, Jeff is the man. I almost feel like the Purdie Shuffle is the Pocoro Shuffle. And his sped up half time intro on Lido Shuffle is a thing of beauty. I faked it in the mid-70s when I covered in a band one weekend and had to learn it quickly. YEars later I realized I played it wrong and was determined to nail it down, which I did thanks to youTube.

One of my all time favourite drummers. Awesome work man! Any chance you could do a deep dive on Bill Berry from R.E.M at some point? He's got a really unique feel

I heard that beat (Rosanna) is really hard for most drummers to play, you did a great job 👍
