I went to Louisiana Tech from '96-00 and some of the dudes from the Men's team came into the Intramural Center to play basketball. Even though it's LA Tech, it was still D1 and those dudes were so far on another level it was unreal, Lonnie Cooper and some other guys. They got any shot they wanted like they were playing cones and they may have missed 1 or 2 shots out of 100. Our women's team was nationally ranked every year and lost in the Championship in 1998, playing them was nothing like playing the men. They were good, but it wasn't anywhere near the domination from the Men's team, and Men's team didn't even make the NCAA tournament while I was there. Jeff is right, no WNBA player is beating a D1 college player.

The world record for the women’s 100 meter dash was set in 1988. In 2018 300 high school boys beat that time and over 10,000 college athletes. If you’re collegiate athlete, you’re bigger, faster, stronger than your female counterparts. People like Kyrie are so tough to guard because if you play up on them to deny the shot, they are fast enough to blow by you. Almost every collegiate level basketball player could play right up in Caitlin’s face to deny the shot and never worry about her being quick enough to get around them.

I think what tricks people is that the game looks similar enough in terms of plays, moves etc but everything in the NBA is just more physical and faster and the margin of error is almost non existent. A "wide open" shot in the NBA is heavily contested shot in the WNBA becuase of the reach, height and speed of the defenders
@kimbonice15 сағат бұрын
@@RaeyGebeyehu Man I watched a WNBA championship game a few years back and it was like watching a high school freshman game. No way similar to the NBA whatsoever. Lot more missed shots, illogical plays/moves, etc. The point swings were crazy. One minute a team is up 20 then 5 minutes later they're down 20 then 5 more minutes later they're up 20 again. Not to mention one point guard was spinning like the Looney Tunes' Tasmanian devil and throwing random passes while spinning that her teammates couldn't even catch. I've never seen so many turnovers in my life. It was embarrassing and a championship game on top of that so that was their best lmao. That was the last time I tried to give the WNBA a chance.

Clark has a better chance at scoring than Aja. Aja is a good wnba player but her game doesnt translate at all to the mens game.
