Shirley's bi and that's why she belives everyone has the choice to be gay or straight (in her head she choose to be straight). She started to come out during her time at Greendale. after watching this I honestly can’t believe how I thought Jeff was straight… Maybe I thought his dancing w/ the Dean and stuff was just to get what he wanted so he went along with it? And that the Dean liking him was completely one sided? I mean it probably was at some point but then wasn’t… and I thought his acting like the Dean in the commercial was simply something that happened the way it did because of the absurd length of the commercial shoot, but he obviously acts as the Dean super well sooo yeah. the Hawthorne gay party should have made it kind of obvious, right?? And the thing where him and the Dean agree on which of two 70’s guys are attractive? Did I think that was just only a funny line and forgot about it?? And him caring a lot about his looks and body, which cishet guys don’t to as much as they should? It is literally canon that the Dean's feelings for Jeff are unrequited, and Jeff uses it to manipulate him. It's also canon that the whole goddamn show is based on Jeff's long-winded attempt to sleep with Britta. 60% of this video is just other character's lines, and the rest is just Jeff being insecure. He's a narcissist and obsessed with self-image, so naturally other attractive men threaten his ego, it's not being attracted to them, and suggesting that it is, at least in my opinion, cheapens the character and undermines the genuine observations made about guys like Jeff (it doesn't have anything to do with being gay)
