@@JustinHeideman Do what makes you happy I’d suggest, however, that you research cultural appropriation vs appreciation. I wouldn’t expect a white kid to understand the underlying issues in becoming popular and adored for doing something black kids do everyday, but genuine, heartfelt research could be a start.

It's also because he put in just as much hard work, being a drum major as everybody else. So much so that even his community recognizes him and his band mates.
