Assembled in America from Italian parts. You can purchase Maserin Scout slip joint knife for $70 and get the same quality. Or you can purchase the Maserin “Plow” from Collectors knives for around $55.

I’m such a sucker for the sodbuster style pattern. I find the simplicity so dang attractive. I love that it’s a lock back. I’ma have to try to obtain one.

Just picked up the black one canvas nice. Everything about it ! Finished well and tight. It’s a user. USA made great. Thanks for the vid Smith snd sons will do well .. keep It in the correct markets. No Walmart or Dicks or even Bass Pro. This 8:37 will cheapen the line. Lots of bush crafter shops and dealers that would love to offer it

I wish they made this in AEB-L like their Axiom small fixed blade. The Axiom is a wonderful knife. Take Care! 🗡🤤🔪🤓🗡 Edit: I said "winderful", I had to fix that and say wonderful. Ooopsy on me.

Is the lanyard hole flared? Thus making it not able to be taken apart?
@CoyoteEDC11 күн бұрын
@@jjm6187 it does indeed look flared. But I also admit I have never tried take this knife apart.

I have the same one. Love it! Not a super fan of how they did the sharpening choil though. The stop pin has very little room. After a few sharpenings, I wonder where the blade will sit when closing.

I love me a Sod but D2 for almost 200.

Imperfections in the burlap micarta are in the woven cloth prior to the resin process.

I found their D2 has little divots or holes that look like pits Ordered a vanquero and brave and was present in both

I’m starting to get into knife collecting and understanding blade materials, is the msrp too exorbitant for d2 steel?
@CoyoteEDC Жыл бұрын
Yes, D2 is more of a budget steel these days. But for a us made knife it makes a bit more sense

Take a look at the Otter-messer OTT143LB $55.00 a much better knife , Or for an even better knife the Locking OTT07MS both have a 3.75 inch razor sharp carbon steel blade , The OTT07MS is $68.00 , You can find them at Chicago Knife Works . Way better than the Mud Bug at $185.00 .
