Salvador Sanchez was one of a kind. His facial expression never changed during the fight. During his introduction, Gomez walked around posturing as if he were the toughest guy on the planet. Sanchez looked happy and was smiling, ever confident. By the time the first round ended Gomez was no longer bothering to appear so tough. Gomez was the king of his prior division , Superfeatherweight, but he was too small and too weak for the best Featherweight. He did not hit hard enough. All of Wilfred's ko victories came with a steep price tag. Today he is difficult to understand when he speaks. His memory is shot. Also, Sanchez would have ko'd Pedroza with no problem. once i heard in a documentary talking about gomez that he had not arrived in optimal conditions for the fight but to the way i see it gomez landed many good blows to sanchez but he did not feel them it all i think they were pretexts to say that you do not arrive prepared for a fight fight and then I wanted a rematch too bad it couldn't happen but in my opinion it would have been the same result maybe a little tighter but in the end the same sanchez winner
