How does his daughter not have a spot in the front from the jump?

My guess is that it is a personal preference. Also, the sound tends to be better a little farther back compared to the front and you are able take in more of the show with some distance from the stage.

She was in the front row with her mom, just not in the pit.

@@brianpratt6331 Eddie's wife was escorted by a handler from the back of GA to the front row before Better Man and was only in the front row for a short time. His daughter was escorted by the same handler from the back of GA to the front row before this song and only stayed there until the song was over. It was a little bit of a struggle for them to make it through the crowd as you can imagine. You can see them pass in the video at around the 1:00 minute mark. The handler is wearing a white shirt.
