Radio has some disadvantages - especially for long messages/descriptions - it's just hard to remind everything that was said. There's also a probability of bad reception, misunderstandings, background noise that can cause some problems in understanding. It's also possible that a radio call was made to the officer in command which could have send the text message - we don't know that. They also sent pictures in addition which is not possible in audio communication. So you have picture plus description in one communication channel. And they sent the message long before the situation was critical, Crooks was just a person of interest at the time - no need to hurry.

I want to know how many cops got on their service radio and said: "Get Trump off the stage." I've got prior LE experience though I didn't make it a career. But as soon as a pedestrian told me: "There's a man on the roof with a gun (or even just a man on the roof, gun or not...) I'm on my radio saying: "Get Trump off the stage now. Get Trump off the stage now!" I find it mind-blowingly incredulous that you have all these cops wandering around this building and Trump is still talking. And because no Cop apparently got on their radio and transmitted the urgency of the situation, a man is dead, two were severely injured, and a nation came very close to civil war. Sorry... every Cop on scene that knew of a suspicious person has responsibility for all the grief that happened on that day.

As incredibly stupid as it sounds, I'm almost positive that the SS, cops, swat, and other agencies were not on the same radio frequencies. I believe that 100%. In my home area, local, city, county, and emergency response groups are not (yet) on common frequencies. If the first cop to realize this punk was a real threat just fired 3 rounds straight up as a signal, Trump would have been off the stage in an instant. All these 'officials' were in lala land.

Yes, followers of the Secret Service who dont seem to have even 1 officer in this video thats 400’ from The President. Local Police shouldnt be sole protection of a former sitting President

They have to be cleared to act. They are back up to the SS. It’s called chain of command.

@MadScorpion1a sniper did take him out, but you can’t shoot him in the park bench. DT should never have been allowed into the stage - period!

@MadScorpion1 I AM NOT SPREADING LIES !!! I did NOT say snipers need approval for this situation, the local authorities saw him well before the snipers according to reports I have seen , there was no communication between the snipers and the local police or whatever you call them in the US . Why there was a failure to communicate between these two groups I do not know.

They’re all talking about him. Did no one approach him and basically say “STATE YOUR BUSINESS”!! 😳😳

You mean to tell me the shooter was able to get up on the roof without a ladder and a dozen or more cops were unable to and had to wait for a ladder?
@FoulWeatherFriend3853 ай бұрын
What bothers me is that nobody is talking about how those cops were all allowed up there after Crooks was killed. That opened the door for the crime scene to be tampered with.

@@FoulWeatherFriend385what? Who should have done it then? Police feds? Ss? You? So far better than normal on this one. If you care enough be the one to try to foia the body cams. Do something of value. Btw I hate the cops but do you really really think they planted evidence after reviewing all this? Seems like communication between ss and police was never setup probably some bureaucratic bullshit. Then this dude did this. It’s awful they failed but what are they planting wtf they going to be doing up there? Taking crooks senior’s sons dead body and staging it up there??? Taking the gun they used and dropping it down?? What angle makes sense to you? And I’m genuine in my curiosity.

It's my understanding at this point (and feel free to fact check me, I'm just answering this question here...) that the shooter climbed up to the top of a different building using the HVAC (air conditioning) equipment to assist himself, then he made a short jump the the rooftop where he actually took the shots from.

Sorry to say but it's PA law enforcement. In PA we can report things to police and they turn it on us as in an accusations. I've reported theft to local law enforcement and they give me the run around, said its state police jurisdiction and PSP says it's local jurisdiction. In the end nobody investigated and the case closed. I've lost basically all respect for law enforcement in PA.

He was one of the local countersnipers, his job was to provide overwatch for the stage and the crowd area, not foot patrol outside the perimeter. Still not sure why he and his partner thought it was the best move to leave their overwatch post to go look for Crooks on the ground right before the shooting.
