good bit of beach launching there guys!! I've never seen it done in that lagoon just jetskis... you make it look easy enough to give a shot next trip haha ;-) Keep up the good work loving the adventures in the big rig

Hey Bretto! Cheers mate yeah it’s as easy as a boat ramp mate, although it had changed a heap since our last trip. We get some ok fish but still haven’t cracked the DI code where people brain the snapper etc haha, can be a tricky place to fish!

We went to DI one Australia Day long weekend and there was a 6 hour wait in line for the ferry back across the Noosa River. We had and extension for the trailer we built. Pull a few bolts and it'd slide out an extra 12 feet so we could launch off the beach. 24 foot plate hull with a 175 Black Max with an F100 w/ 460 BB pulling it. Around Wolf Rock was a good spot back then. Bombing for pearlies, snapper and emperor then troll back along the front for cobia. The odd sailfish would turn up too. Hit a few that we suspect were US submarines headed for Fiji lol. Whale watching was great out there and tailor cruised the beach in schools as big a football field. The tiger sharks were off-tap with most being around 14 feet long. Standard bottom-bashing gear was 40-60lb mono, an absolute telephone pole of a rod with a Penn Senator reel. The trick was to get them up as absolutely fast as you could before the taxman struck. No "sport" about it. Saw one of those puffers bite through a 6/0 stainless hook. The red you held up at the end was about average then. This was all 30 years ago.

If you get a chance have a look at the sea mounts out off fraser it used to hold some big gold band job fish hapuka ect .
