I have some questions: 1. I’ve been rejected from about 50 interviews. (In the last one they found the excuse that I could have given more examples. There must have been 20 to 30 perfectly given interviews with no feedback at all. The feedback I got from a lot of them is that they went for another candidate). 2. Before the pandemic it only took around 4 interviews to secure a new role 3. I went to a top business school and have half a decade of experience working for blue chip companies 4. *I’ve been given the advice by some corporate operatives that I could still somehow secure a role at a top company even if I’ve been unemployed for half a dozen years* *Is it discrimination? Is it bias because there is money involved? I would just like to know what is going on as I’m being forced to retire early abroad/take a career break in the summer*.

Hey Jeff! I was recently laid off and was looking for tips on job hunting and productivity and that was how I stumbled upon your channel. I just wanted to say BIG THANKS to you for creating this video. It has help me tremendously as I've not job hunt for the last 2 years and it was a real struggle in the interviews initially. But this video gave me the confidence as it shows how I can best structure my answers based on common interview questions. I swear after implementing the tips u have shared, I landed an offer in 1 month. And it's an offer from an industry that I've been dreaming of. So I just wanted to say thanks again for sharing the tips u have and creating this video!

I've been watching videos for DAYS on how to nail an interview. You are the first video with suggestions that make SENSE when it comes to this question. You've explained it basic enough that even someone with my rather unimpressive work history and education, has an answer that doesn't sound like total garbage and actually makes me feel ALOT more confident about the answer. So thank you! Fingers crossed it lands me the job!

but dont you feel like this sample is quite long for only the tell me about yourself q's?
@RobertPlank29 күн бұрын
The way this video breaks down the "tell me about yourself" question is so practical and actionable. I love the focus on the present-past-future format-it not only keeps your answer structured but also helps you stay concise and relevant. Starting with the present is such a smart move because it immediately establishes your professional identity without veering into personal anecdotes that don’t add value. The advice on using highlights to guide the interviewer’s next questions is a game-changer. It’s like you're subtly steering the conversation while showcasing key achievements. That $500,000 deal example really drives home how impactful it can be to pick one strong, specific highlight rather than cramming too much into your answer. I also appreciate the emphasis on adaptability, like tailoring the same story to different roles. It’s a great reminder that what matters isn’t the story itself but how it aligns with the role’s core qualities. The example of the events coordinator applying for marketing vs. accounting roles made this so clear. Overall, this approach doesn’t just prepare you to answer the question-it helps you leave a lasting impression and build momentum for the rest of the interview. Definitely taking notes for my next one!
