Nice catch! LOST fan here. I totally cried during this montage in 2015. Now I understand why. The most blatant example of plagiarism I have seen was the "Be Bold" Caleb and Sophia video, where they almost note-for-note stole the melody from "Stay Alive" by José González. Not to mention the sound of the clock at the beginning of the recording.

Yeah the song from Lost is insanely close to the jw melody. That’s crazy you noticed that! You have a good ear. And as for jw copying other songs .. I’m pretty sure “a dream is a wish your heart makes” from Disney’s Cinderella is pretty close to one of the kingdom melodies. I forgot which one. It’s been several years since I last heard the songs, but I remember making that connection when I was a teen. Who knows, they may have removed that song. Actually, the style of the 2000s kingdom melodies seem to take some inspiration from classic Disney movies (1940s-1960s). I hope they have updated their music style since then!

I'm an oldie. There were actually at least 2 hymns in the songbook in the 70s. One was 'take my life' I think it went like 'take my hands and take my feet with you oh lord I am complete etc' The tune was VERY slightly altered also SOME of the words. The other song escapes me now. But that one was outstanding as being so nearly exactly the same as that Christian hymn. And I loved that song when I was in. I, too, can be nostalgic. Methinks we are both empaths! ❤ from uk 👍

I love how you made the weird JW bunker video ending have the LOST music! If you see Quinn’s channel Deconstructing Watchtower, he also saw they are copying other styles of Hollywood film making…in the area of horror…yep! They are trying to piggyback on whatever OTHER programming we have, fears, etc., and then trauma bond us more deeply then to THEM…Watchtower…culturally I think, which then goes LAYERS deep…that’s my theory, and I stand by it. lol
