Yeah. I also believe that there is something masking Paimon's true nature from ordinary humans. Something interesting I noticed during the Aranara quests: The Aranara have a word for 'humans' = 'nara'. Every time they talk about us, they use the 'Nara Traveler'. But they don't use the same for Paimon, instead only calling them Paimon. This leads me to believe that the Aranara inherently know or feel that Paimon is not human. Or, at least, not the kind of human that everybody else is.

I love when Paimon says we aren't exactly loaded (with mora as we're eating with Dunyarzad), but we voluntarily give the Eremites 500,000 mora for info...which my new husbando got back for me! I remember how people bashed Genshin when it first came out, saying that Genshin is a copy of Zelda. I wonder if it's on purpose that the first Akademiya sage that tried to coerce Tighnari to go to the Akademiya was called "Khajeh" because in Farsi the word "Khajeh" refers to a man who's been castrated lol. Man, I missed your long contents, Kage. Also another fun fact "Sabzeruz" in Farsi literally translates to "Green Day" and some of its components seem to be inspired by Iranian new year traditions called "Nowruz" or "New Day". Nilou herself seems to be inspired by a traditional Iranian Dancer with her name being the short form of "Niloufar" or "Water Lily", a traditional Iranian name.
